Can You Forgive A Partner Who Cheats

My best friend has just told me that her husband of ten years has been having an affair which apparently has been going on for several months. He has subsequently told her that it is over and she has already forgiven him!!!I just dont think that i would be so forgiving if it was my husband because as far as i am concerned the trust would be gone. I would constantly be asking where he was going i think in the end it would destroy the marriage if forgiven or not. What does everyone else think?

I always used to say yes you could, but it did eventually split me and my partner up you can forgive i think, itsforgetting thats the hard part and that is what eventually drove us apart.
