Have you ever seen a movie without knowing what it's about?

Have you ever gone to a movie without seeing a trailer, or really not having any idea of what it's about? I don't think I ever have. I've always seen trailers for the movies I've gone to see (by choice or not) on TV or on autoplay on some website. Even at that, people I know tell me about movies and whatnot, so I'd say I'm pretty well-informed about blockbusters and indie films.

Well there have been times when my parents would tell me or my siblings what movie we were going to...but made us go. I think Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was one of those situations...my dad took my and my sister to it-neither of us liked it lol. More recently there was a movie called House that I made up my mind to go see before reading about it or watching the trailer...but I did do both of those before actually going, so that's a little cheat. lol My sister went with me to that movie too, and I think we both thought it was good (although part of the ending was a little cheesy).

The closest I have gotten to this is back in the day, I would flip channels and try to find a movie to see. It was before I had digital cable with the guide built in. I would star a film not knowing anything about it. I saw many good films from the middle to end and then I had to see the beginning. Sometimes I found out if I had seen the beginning first, I wouldn't have seen the rest of the movie. My mom and my sister saw Psycho, in the theater, Without knowing what the film was about. Yikes! They were invited to the movies and there they were watching Psycho!

yes. i don't really watch a lot of trailers so i'm not up to date with what's playing. so when my friends drag me to a movie, most of the times, i just see what they want to see. it works out okay for me though. because i don't have any expectations from the movie so i end up enjoying it.

Yes, the first movie that my bf and I watched at the Cinema is "The Jacket", I thought the movie was suspense or thriller as we had seen on posters, but it was just a boring movie for us.

Yah many times. When I was browsing channel from the TVs and happened to pass by a movie which I think good. Then I would watched that movie without knowing what it's all about.

Once when I was really young and Mom and Dad totally dictated what I got to see. All of a sudden we were off to the theater, and I didn't remember requesting to see a movie. So I ask, "What are we going to see?" All I get is the title, (Titan AE) and it's for a movie I hadn't heard of until that point. The movie kinda traumatized me as a kid, but I enjoyed it later on. Other than that the only movies I know nothing about and watch are on TV.
