i'd love to be good at playing music. but sadly, i'm not. if given the chance, and if i could choose only one instrument, i'd probably choose drums. how bout you?

If given a chance to learn how to play any musical instrument, I would definitely want to start with a violin. I have always been interested on how they can simply compliment any mood. Then, if a violin isn't possible, I would definitely go with drums as its really fun to watch, especially those drum solos that drummers perform in concerts. Lastly, I would choose the guitar, something common and you can almost see among circle of friends

You haven't heard of contemporary music being played with a violin, like rock music with a violin or even rap? I believe I've seen someone beatbox with a flute.. Anyway, be it too classical or not, that's my choice

yeah, sometimes i like an acoustic better than electric. it sounds more relaxed and laid back when it's acoustic.

I recently got an acoustic guitar and I must say that I really enjoy it! I've had electric guitars for awhile, but I really like acoustics for strumming! Plus, acoustics give you a lot more freedom because you don't have to use an amp. But I still like to play stuff on my electric guitars too.... :)

Since I played guitar and bass, I want to learn drums, although I know a little but I want to improve more. I also want to learn how to play piano. I think it is not hard to play piano when you already know how to play guitar and learned the theory of music. Drums is different because it is all about beat and rhytmn.

You don't need to have a formal music lesson. Internet alone is a big source of information and you can find a lot of materials for learning music..This is what I did. :)

hi allamgirl! i play some instruments - guitar, piano, drums, ukelele (a bit!) and other odd (!?) instruments like the banduria, triangle... but, the winner of them all? the VIOLIN!!!! I'm not a good player, though...more practice!

I currently play the guitar, and I really like it. So if I could only choose one instrument I'd have to choose the guitar. There's just so many different sounds you can get out of one -- especially an electric! And you can also kinda play an acoustic guitar like a drum.

i've been trying to teach myself how to play a guitar for nearly three years. i'm afraid i'm not really improving. i do know a couple of songs but i'm not really good at it. how can you play an acoustic guitar like a drum?

I've heard that if you play your instrument with other good musicians, you can really start finding yourself to improve. It is important if you find a good source of inspiration and work from there, whether it be a musical style, an artist, a song, etc. You can play an acoustic guitar play tapping the front (where the sound-hole is) with your hands. You can get a good sound out of it because it is acoustic, like a drum. Be careful that you don't damage/collapse the guitar, but this is how it can play like a drum.

I already play the piano, but I think it would be interesting to be able to play the Croatian/Serbian Tamburitza. I love the tamburitzas in Croatian and Serbian music, and would love to know how to play one myself. I don't understand the language, but I love the music.

hi allamgirl well for me I would love to learn to play the piano and b e really good at it. I know there is lots of other instruments maybe more fascinating but piano music is and can be really wonderful and exciting too. so yes I wou ld love to play the piano and do really great at it. I realize a lot of people just take it for granted that they play the piano and think its no big deal.but I always have wanted to play one and have never had the opportunity.

It's been always my dream to learn to play the violin because I love the classic sound of it. It makes me relaxed specially when I just want to lie in bed while listening to some great music.
