Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.

i remember having to say this at school before going to dinner and or before we went home at the end of the day....even though i dont say it anymore i can still remember it word for word

Indeed this one of the most powerful prayers if not the most powerful prayer for all Christians considering that this prayer was taught to us by no less than Jesus Christ who said that when we pray this is how and what we should pray to God the Father. Whenever I join in singing the LORD'S PRAYER, whether during mass or as Doxology before meetings and seminars or anytime of the day, i always feel emotional about it focusing on the words of the prayer. Yes indeed.... it is a very powerful prayer.

The lord's prayer was one of the first things I took joy in memorizing. Nothing can give us greater strength than this. Inspiration and wisdom fill us whenever we hear the lord's prayer. There is never a time to be without it.
