Mr.Gingrich is at the college I work at doing a lecture. When I heard he was coming I could not remember who his was! I had to surf the internet to refresh my memory! I had forgotten he was the Speaker of the House under President Clinton until 1999. Now of course he is an author and gets paid to give lectures! So what is your opinion on Gingrich?

I will never forget Mr Gingrich. I had the opportunity to see him at the Commonwealth Club a few years back and he confirmed everything bad I had ever thought of him..lol I hold him and a couple of others as the boys who destroyed the prefectly funtional Republican Party. By his own admission and with great pride he proceded to explain that spending hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars on the Clinton witch hunt was the right thing to do because he/they agreed with almost all of Clinton's policy's. They needed to make him look bad so thus the witch hunt. The reasoning is that the party was more important then a functional country, them doing their jobs, the party being responsible to the people. And he set the standard for politicians of this era putting party first and country second. Thank you Mr Gingrich....

Do you really want to know...lol? He was the man behind 1994's "Contract On America" (I know they called it "Contract WITH America" but I call it as I see it)! He spent an incredible amount of time on TV talking about "family values" and attacking President Clinton; his dirty little secret is that at the same time he was having his own affair with his own much younger staffer. She's now his wife after he dumped his second wife, whom he'd dumped for his first wife. He served her with divorce papers while she was in the recovery room following cancer surgery, so the story goes. Real values champion, right? Something many people may not remember about Gingrich is what he said following the murder of two little boys by their mother, Susan Smith; he said if we didn't want crimes like that to continue happening we should vote for Republicans. Sounds a lot like the kind of garbage we hear today, doesn't it? Annie
