Yes, I am always typing loose instead of lose which I don't do when I'm writing. Plus the site seems slow? I submit the same thing twice thinking the first one never loaded.

You need to solve that problem you might get a problem from mylot admin for posting twice, you may contact admin about that so they take some action about your problem, the site is not that slow, don't open to many sites at the same time and you can use mylot normally

Hey guys, how are you? myLot sometimes go so slow that when I am planning to post a discussion, i think twice if the connection is slow, I only hope that i can post many discussions as i can, but up to this moment, i am planning to reply on discussions created by my friends, my problem in typing is the spelling, hehehe, good thing they are turning red when they are misspelled.

Thanks, hasn't been too big a problem cos once it happened I now know to check before trying to post again. Am still finding site slow open on its own and this morning I couldn't get on at all for about ten minuites. I am using a fairly new laptob and have no trouble on other sites including streaming.

I can type well you see, but just to be careful, I always verify my post before submitting it. I now do this because there was a time were I posted something and I'm so ashamed of some grammatical and spelling errors (due to mistyping some letters). I treat myLot as a training ground for reading and writing in English. Correcting my own errors is a must.

I agree 100%. Experience really is the best teacher. That's why I get bored on classes without hands-on period. It is best to learn things when applied to our everyday living.

In this new generation, spelling and grammar are not likely required in every discussion. Some of members here are not that fluent with english (like me), especially from non-english speaking countries. The most important here is that you could understand/analyzed what he want to tell you or discuss with you, that's how conversation starts... For me I really don't mind... ^_^

If you're using Mozilla you wouldn't need to worry about typos because they show you which word was misspelled. I think I am fortunate enough to have a typing class in my high school which gave me a very good typing skill. I memorize the keyboard therefore helping me type efficiently and quickly. I tell you I can type as fast as I can talk. I just wished that children would still have the opportunity to learn typing as well. As for reading my response before posting it, I rarely do so. But I know I should. Do you?

I am always reviewing my responses before I post it to avoid some typo errors. Though sometimes you can't really avoid to have some even if you reviewed it as what sometimes happened to me.

Always reviewing is a good habit and it makes sure that you are error free, even for a small conversation. Keep it up. Thanks for your post. Thank-s

I always read through my posts before submitting them. I used to be one of those people who doesn't care if they have errors on their posts. As long as the thought is there, its enough. Now, though, it's different. I like it when there are no errors whenever I do post or comment on something. It's easier to read

I use firefox and most of the spelling mistakes are automatically underlined when I type.So I can easily correct them while typing. However, sometimes I do make some silly typing mistakes or some grammatical mistakes. These are usually not a problem but sometimes I have found that it can really change the meaning of a sentence lol.I wish mylot would allow us to edit our posts after submiting.I know this is prevented so that there is no abuse, but what if there are some limited options like correcting 4-5 words in a post? What do you think?
• India
25 May 10
You are upto the point. It is correct that the meaning would change if English is not written in order. However, we should be careful because the posting section is not diverted through any editor. Still, I think that many are bothered of what they are meant to say and typing properly. Thanks for your comments. Thank-s

I try to spell check, but it does not check for missed words or full sentences. Often they come out wrong. I feel that i can only do so much and still be able to respond. Although i find myself talking without finalizing one subject before the next one rushes in, why wouldn't my typed items be the same.

It happens with me every time. I re-read my writing before I posted it. Still, I found either grammatical error or misspelling. Well, at least people will understand what I wrote about. I am not an English native, I wrote in between works, and I want to write as many as possible to earn more and more money. Those are the reasons to console myself, it works most of the time.^^ Swearing will do no good. I would re-write my topic of discussion somewhere else with adjustment and additional ideas on the topic. Not bad bargain.

I very seldom proofread what I type, because I read it as I am typing it. I have been typing for forty years, so I know the keyboard very well. It isn't hard to type without making any errors, but there are a lot of spellcheckers out there you can get for free. If you are not confident with your ability to type error-free, I would suggest getting one.

I reread my submissions, I even do it when I'm sending a text to someone. No one wants to sound like an idiot. Its actually a habit that my fiance pointed out about a week ago. I don't reread for spelling errors I just want to make sure that what I'm saying makes sense to other people. And yes, I just reread this.

I am a slow-pitch typist and use only two fingers in typing so I have to look at the keyboard which key I should touch. In this case, I seldom makes typo errors but made several grammar mistakes which I don't know how to correct even if I preview my response before submitting for posting.

Well, to be very honest, i don't review my discussions again. I do it only the day when i have time, otherwise discussions are enough, we get a very good knowledge through it. And on the other side my browser is enough for me to tell me my spelling mistakes that i don't do usually.

When I don't have time to review, then I don't check it. But because most of the time I forgot words to type which will express what I was talking about, and we can always review it when we were asked to put tag on it.

I had a typing subject back in college, and I'm using what I have learned. It helps a lot because I am no longer looking at my fingers but straight to the monitor instead, that makes me see if there are any mispelled words or typo errors. I am not that fast though but I think it's an advantage.
