Should parents allow the children to send newspaper for making money ??

Some young students have to wake up at 5 o'clock each morning for sending the newspapers to their neighborhood.I don't think it's a good way for the children to make money. Because if each morning they get up so early and use most of the energy to send newspaper, how can they get enough energy to concentrate on their study during the day ?? I really think the parents should not push or allow the children to send newspaper for making money. Because if the children make a little bit money by sending newspaper now and don't have enough energy to study well..........they will not get a good job in the future and may continue to earn a small salary like distributing newspaper..........that will be sad!!!! How do you think about it ?? Do you agree with my opinion?

I think as lon gas the parent is wiling to go along the route with them they should try it. And it really should be a summer job. Kids shouldn't work except weekends and summers.

If it's just a summer job, I absolutely support letting the children to experience it. But I have a colleague in office. He let his son deliver newspaper each morning, from Monday to Friday........and my colleague says he is proud of his son about that.............but I don't feel he takes good care of his children....the boy is just 12 years old.......he should work each morning like that ?!

It should be a summer job for most kids. Also after a while the kid will get use to the schedule of waking up early and therefore will get tired early. the first few weeks will be tough but if they get the kid to sleep at the right time they can help the kid. this will teach time management.
