Just a quick question about deleted discussions.

Does anyone know who chooses which discussions get deleted ? I understand that questions repeatedly ,asked, duplicate postings, jokes, recipes and polls are not allowed , I have read the FAQ's. But some of the discussions that get deleted I cannot understand the reasoning for. Yesterday I joined a discussion called 'Plus-size model to replace skinny model', it was quite an interesting discussion; however today I received a notification that the discussion had been deleted. What would be the reason for that? Does anyone know? I would like to fully understand as if I am going to join in discussions to any length ( and I try to avoid ones I think are 'iffy') I'd like some idea if they are going to get deleted or not.

Can we call them "fly-by-night topics"?

These are the discussion Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx MyLot admins delete discussions when they do not comply with the TermsofUse and not always can we understand or appreciate the reasons for deletions, especially in the case of a plagiarised topic and sometimes a duplicate or repeated topic too. If you are aware of the user that started the one that you mention then you could PM them and ask for the reason. They will know because it will be stated in the notification that they received.

Thanks. No I can't remember, I just want to try and avoid responding when it is a waste of time, but this discussion I though was interesting and didn't really seem to fit into any of the criteria! Oh well c'est la vie!!

Yes curious though... it is also disheartening when your discussion suddenly be removed... I experience it too.
