I have been watching Master Chef here in Australia and have been inspired to cook. I m your average cook who would just cook up a normal sort of dinner for my family, but now I have been watching this cooking show I am inspired and slowly learning to cook more things that would normally be out of my comfort zone. I am really enjoying the reaction of my family and their positive feedback. No more sausages and potato . So has any T.V show got you motivated .Cheers Sue

Yep... I used to watch Ally McBeal when I was still in high school. It made me want to study law. Now whenever I watch Grey's Anatomy I want to become a doctor.

I'm a big fan of the Carry On movies! I don't think modern day nurses look much like Barbara Windsor did in her tiny dress, LOL! Great career though.

Over here in the UK, I am inspired by our version of Master Chef too. I loved the last series and often get ideas from it which I can transfer to my own cooking. I cook for 6 of us and 5 of us are vegetarian, 2 of us are dieting, so I don't have the widest choice of foods to cook, but I still love watching Master Chef. Otherwise, I get inspired by sport on TV (especially the Olympics) and talent shows where people sing, dance, etc.

Our first series of Master Chef was great and the winner lives near us and I thought if she can cook like that so could I. I love the master classes , as the chef's teach us some simple but good recipes .I also love the talent shows and the dancing shows. We now have the master chef magazine which has some yummy recipes. Happy cooking. Cheers Sue

Yes. I watched the show "Everest." There is a man from Denmark named Mogen Jensen who climbed Everest withouth supplemental oxygen despite the fact he is a chronic asthmatic.

I am also inspired by television shows showing how food is prepared in different styles and I remember to have developed the love of cooking through the show, though at that time I did not remember the name of the show too well.

I think that every show that I watch inspires me to do something in one way or another. They all make me want to do something better or strive to do something. For example, I currently study theatre at the university I am attending and a lot of the scripted series that I watch make me want to work that much harder to become an actor of sorts.

I went through a food network phase a couple years ago, and I loved cooking and cooking shows, too. ^o^ If it wasn't for that pahse, I don't think I'd know nearly as much about cooking as I do now. I also had a phase for America's Next Top Model, way back in the earlier seasons of its running. It made me interested in fashion and becoming a model myself.

Hi there, fellow mylotter! :) There is this show entitled "House M.D.". It inspires me to be a doctor. The show is about solving the hardest medical cases. It inspires me because it makes solving medical cases and analyzing very interesting and fun at the same time. It came to my mind as something very enjoyable. :) Another show is "The Mentalist". This show, on the other hand, inspires me to be a psychologist and to be a part of FBI or CIA. Same as "House M.D.", it makes being a psychologist and solving crimes very fun and interesting. :) Happy MyLotting! :)
