Yesterday I had to pick up some coffee so I didn't run out. I use a regular off-brand I get at Wal-mart. I really like it. I just don't like to shop at Wal-mart, especially on Friday evenings! So I went to a local grocery store. Of course they are more expensive. So I decided to try their off brand coffee. Yeah right, when I opened it, it didn't even smell like coffee. I tossed it.. totally wasted my money but at least now I know! Do you every try other brands or stick with tried and true?

I Like gevalia coffee the most. But,I bought store brand coffee last month to add to it. if I did not buy the flavoring to add to it I could not drink it. It was way too strong for me to enjoy. So I just buy the flavoring to add to the store bought coffee.

Yeah, I really like Gevalia. But it's so expensive so I don't use it. I try to use the best I can at a price I can afford.

as a true coffee fan, I always try to find and try coffee from different brand. If we always just rely on one brand, we will never know the ratio of coffee taste. And the privilege of trying different brands, we will avoid such problems you've experienced, right?

I was trying to try other brands... but when it doesn't even smell like coffee I just can't even try it. Well, I at least know one thing, that brand is out!

if it didn't smell like coffee, then what did it smell like? There is a huge difference between Sumatra coffee, Mocha Java, Colombian, Italian, and Kenyan coffees, just to name a few. Maybe you should keep on trying out more kinds, because maybe there's a kind you'll like even better then what you're getting, now...

I stick with one brand. I'm fussy that way. But hey mac, look at it the bright side. At least you can say, you're not running out of..."whatever it is"...to drink. ;-D cdrxo

Im not sure if you mean the kind you brew or not, i do know i only can enjoy one kind. that is instant Mountain blend by Nestle. its expensive in a way and if they ever stop making it i dont know what i'll do already we have to go to one certain store to find it. it used to be in many stores but for some reason its harder to find now. it has a smooth flavor and doesnt taste like iodine which for some reason most instants do.
