What is your favorite type of dance? As in dancing or watching people dance. Are you the ballroom type? Are you the freak dancing type at the club? Maybe contemporary, urban or even interpretive dance? Do you enjoy cultural dances? Or do you not even dance at all? I just saw an Indian cultural dance today. I've seen Filipino culture dances. I've seen hip hop performances I have performed in: Hip hop dances, salsa, rumba, swing, and the hustle. I also know how to freak dance in the club. What are your dance specialties?

I love to dance and it does not matter what type of dance it is. However, I enjoy ball room, hip hop/ street dance and jazz the most. It's so cool to combine these three types of dances. Aside from that I also love cheer leading. I used to perform and even compete but now that I'm already working, a wife and a Mom of two kids I just enjoy watching. It makes me remember the old times. Another dance that I enjoy watching a lot is ballet. However, I did not get a chance to dance ballet.

That's cool how you are able to combine different types of dance all together. When you say street dance do you mean break dancing? Wow you were pretty well-versed in many dance genres. At least you'll be able to show your husband and your kids your moves. =)

Street Dance is very broad. Break Dancing is just one kind of street dancing. Another example of this is New Style Hip hop. It is some kind of dancing where there is an interaction with the dancers and audience. Usually there would be no stage and spectators are within reach. There are a lot of movies portraying this kind of dance. It involves a lot of hip- hop and funk dance styles. It also involves a lot of breaking, popping and locking.

When I was younger, I did a lot of dance. I went to ballet, tap and stage classes. Then I was a gymnast for many years and did dance training and choreography. Now I am 40 and rarely dance, only sometimes at home, when no-one is watching! But I still enjoy watching it on TV and in the theatre and enjoy lots of different styles, especially ballet and street dance like Diversity and Flawless.

Can you explain to me what street dance looks, as today is the first time I've ever heard of it. That's cool that you dance when and like no one can see. You should go back to your roots and dance with your friends or loved ones and relive the good ol' times. =)

Street dance is quite hard to explain. If you go to You Tube, you can look for videos of the British street dance stars DIVERSITY (who won Britain's Got Talent last year, beating singer Susan Boyle) and also FLAWLESS who are very good and dancer GEORGE SAMPSON who won Britain's Got Talent the year before. Let me know what you think!

I used to go dancing every weekend when I was young...I still dance today of course not as much...Im good at ballroom dancing...salsa...rumba...you name it! I would dance to all kind of music...now a days I just dance salsa a few times a week as excercise as I do not like going to the gym...dancing is a good way to keep fit and is enjoyable.

My parents and grandparents both did a lot of ballroom dancing when they were younger. It doesn't seem so popular these days though, which is a shame.

I love dance - all kinds! I don't mind watching it, but really I like to do it - and hey, I'm told I'm good at it. Actually I am a figure skater. I started "later" in life, but I cross trained in dance as well: ballet, jazz, hip hop, and even ballroom. But ultimately I like "dancing" on the ice (not ice dancing though - that's like ballroom on ice - I'm not into pattern skating). As a a kid, I did square dancing and Japanese dancing, as well as other cultural dances. Ha ha - I remember the hustle! Oh and though I haven't been in a club in years, I can still blend into the scene (freak dance, sure can!). Do you like those slide dances, like the Cha Cha Slide or Cupid Shuffle? I love that stuff!!

So does that mean you go straight to the bar? You must teach me how to meet all these "wild" women at the club. I miss clubbing and I need a lot of practice, so that I can step up my game. I need to actually practice to go clubbing so that I can see how low I can go and if the girl can match me. ;)

I don't really need to teach you anything. Just be yourself and keep a nice smile. Girls love guys who smile at them. And if ever they rejected you, it's not the thing you're imagining. It's a lot nicer than what we think. :)

Eddy....you know what my favorite Latin dance is... But aside from Latin dances, I also like ballroom dances. Interpretative..not so much, hip hop...hmmm..I only like to watch. As for the "freak dancing in the club" thing...boy, you better get your dancing shoes on because I'ma work it. I adore, dancing at the club. Simply adore it. What Filipino cultural dance have you seen?

Oops, I didn't know you responded here already. You can ignore my other dance question then on my other post. Oh you know it has already been brought. Lol, that sounded so lame. So you are a Latin freak dancer then. I need to practice clubbing, so I can get low. haha. The Filipino culture dances I know are just the simple ones like Tinikling. I've also seen a candle dance with the girls balancing them on their hands and sometimes even their head. I think I've even seen a Muslim Filipino one where they twirl long pieces of their cloth fabric around. I've pretty limited, to other than Tinikling. What about you?

Funny how I said I would answer this next but it was buried deep deep inside there somewhere so I end up answering it pretty late. Oops, my mistake. Do I look Filipino? I wonder why so many Filipinos use myLot? Do you watch TFC? Lol you would like tribal dances, because they strong and passionate. hehe. Lol, clubbing huh? I don't know if you can get low though. I've been practicing. Plus I don't know where you reside, so the chances of us meeting in real life are nil. ;)

Me? Well...I'm Filipino, so I know a lot about Filipino culture (duhh,LOL). But my favorite dance would have to be Tribal dances. They have a story to tell and it's kinda scary too. it gives me a rush just watching. I'd like to perform as well, but somehow, my dancing skills are just limited to ballroom, Latin and the club...which sucks... We need to go clubbing together and I'ma show you my skills... ;)
