I started a diet 4 days ago and it includes no rice. Today i lost 4kgs and it really works. The first three days is really hard and i really wanted to eat more but i controlled myself and today im really used to eating two pieces of meat, water and im done. I went out with my friends saturday got tipsy and had an evening snack at one of the restaurants here in Baguio my friends were all amaze at how much i ate. I ate one peice of chicken, vegs and soda and thats it. They ask me how i manage to eat such small amount and still survive haha. And i told them i got used to it. :D

Wow I am glad that you lost 4 kgs already. I do not eat rice in the evening. I don't have a diet to follow unfortunately, I eat viand, i eat sometimes oatmeal and fruit, but that is not continous. I want to go on a diet but I am not consistent. I am happy for you and I hope you continue doing it. Did you took a picture of yourself, the before and after picture? Because it will greatly inspire others if you become successful on dieting.

4 kgs. or 4 lbs.? i believe it is the latter. good for you that you can survive without rice. i can't. but i'm not big. i just find myself hungry and not satisfied if i haven't eaten rice 3 times a day. but beware if you want to eat rice. do so but follow the recommended half a cup serving per eating. otherwise you'd find yourself loading up, on though healthy foods, but would be amounting to the same calories as rice. the body never quiets down if you don't give it what it wants. just follow the recommended servings. this way you don't punish yourself by dieting. it might seem like dieting but it's plainly the proper way of eating.

I never go on a diet. I believe that if I am fat, that is a natural thing; if I am thin, that is also a natural thing. Of course I will eat more healthy food, but I never go out of my way to go on a diet. I think Natural builing is beutiful, whether it is to be slim or plump.

the only wrong with diet is you need to have a good source of carbs, choose low glycemic index carbs like brown rice or any organice rice, oats and wheat bread, avoid white bread & cookies, low fat protein is also a must, and one more thing avoid soda, your diet today still gives you a nice result but what if after few weeks and you stop shredding those fat, if that is the case you need to cycle your calorie, 5 days of low calorie and 2 days of high calorie, and you also need to eat 5-6 small portion of meals with time spacing of 2 1/2 or 3 hours..

Congrats. I am in yuor boat. I am trying to lose my baby weight from my son that I had this past September. Its been hard to exercise because of a hernia from my pregnancy, but something needs to be done. I dont know if I could cut out rice though. Im Mexican and all of our meals since I can remember always have rice, beans and homemade tortillas, so its difficult to walk away from it. Good luck to you and hop you keep at it. If you stay determined you make it to your goal.

Diets are difficult, but I do believe that they are a necessary evil. One of the things that I've learned from my own adventures in weight loss is that you will never be successful if you were to exclude things from your diet that you typically really enjoy. I have never taken something completely out of my diet, I instead will eat these things in moderation. If you are able to maintain moderation and also add exercise into your life, then I know that you will be successful.

Thats great. You got results very fast. So you are less eating or eating a balancaed diet. Eating less may be harmful but a balanced diet is good.

That's great! I've been struggling to lose weight ever since I can remember. Even my doctor recently warned be to lose it or cause permanent damage to my health. I'm trying to ease on the rice as well, but, it's a hard habit to break, especially during super stressful days at work. Actually, I wouldn't wonder if you lose 4 kg so quickly in 4 days. You've completely eliminated carbohydrates. Also, don't forget to drink a lot of water because part of that weight you lost is water. So drink up and don't let your body get dehydrated.

I hope you can keep that up. Good luck! =) I think it's all about control, not overeating when you're already full and a little bit of exercise would help one lose weight. I'm still struggling with my weight too and as a fellow Filipino, we can't have meals without rice. But I've realized that rice really help me gain weight.Hahaha... All the luck in the world on your diet. ;-)
