Its been over a month and still BP can't get the oil leak to stop. More than likely more oil is being leaked out everyday than what BP estimates. I would like to hear from people on the gulf coast states who may have been affected or even people who have been indirectly affected. I know fisherman are been hugely impacted and many probably will never have a business again due to the massive oil spill. Also I wonder how high this will raise oil prices later on as the summer is coming which usually results in higher gas prices anyway. I find how long the oil leak has been continuing disturbing.

hi elmiko as I am over on the west coast clear across the US it does not affect me directly b ut of course I am concerned for my fellow men living and working in that area. We should all be concerned really. This is the world the Lord gave us and we keep messing it up. As I have read there are bacteria that have been used to eat up the oil spills but again they could adversely affect the sea creatures. Our economy here in in the U S is not so hot as it is and this oil spill will not help; as some will lose their businesses over this if its not contained and stopped soon.

i am from INDIA. other than from the ecological disaster, which effects all the living beings of this world, and the recession, crisis of the economy, ... all influenced by the BP oil leak, ... I am in no way, directly affected. but, ... it is not just the fish and fishermen, and the people of the coast where the oil spill is spreading havoc.... all the world is suffering from HUMAN errors. alas, we are not able to spread the algae, and bacteria, which eat such oil spills. and, help the fish in the sea.

I don't live near that area, but most of my state's seafood comes from Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico, and this oil spill is driving up the cost of seafood. It is not just that, but this oil spill is bad for the environment in general. So many things are being impacted by this oil spill. BP has really screwed up on this one.
