How reliant on the internet are you?

I've disowned all of the cable news networks because of the bickering, non news getting in the way on actual news, and the over abundance of lame commercial breaks, and get all of my news form websites like Alternet.org.
I didn't watch the Lost Finale, and instead read a bunch of comments about it on another community I post at. That show sounds more confusing by the day, I swear!
I've been watching less and less TV because i find it doesn't nothing but steal my time during the day. If not for video games, I'd probably freecycle the bloody thing.
If the internet ceased to exist tomorrow, I'd probably drop to my knees, and imitate William Shatner in The Wrath of Kaun...then look around to see if anybody within 100 yards understood the reference without me having to explain the scene.
So myLot Sapiens, just how dependent are you when it comes to the internet? What special tasks do you use your computer/smart phone/laptop/thingamabob for?

No Internet is a situation which is hard for me to imagine.Frankly speaking,there are some channels and programmes which are absolute silly on TV.As for me watching daily news at night is very important. I could give up the TV with not at all a single problem.I am not at all addicted to it.But something must provide me with the news and other daily updates.And it is the internet. I think, without the internet I'd be extremely bored. I will also feel a bit cut off from the rest of the world. Cannot think of a life without a cell phone too. I always stay in touch with my family, through it, when I am away from home.Apart from it,Internet is now becoming a source of income too.Its very important for me.

Well the thing is there are so many things for which we are a bit dependent on computers. Especially when it comes to information related things and also online transactions and bill payments. Some how I feel that internet is the main interest of computers. Most of the things that we are working on computer are some how dependent on computers and that is why I feel that internet is now a very necessary thing and that is why we are so much dependent on it. Most of the banks are reducing their staff and giving much more importance to their website for a lot of transactions. There are a lot of booking facilities which are done through internet for example train bookings are now so common. Share trading is now one big thing. And the list goes on, so I say we are a lot dependent on computers and much on internet. We want surf on mobile now a days when we are not in front of computer :P , that shows the importance of internet.

I have to say that I rely on the internet quite a bit. I use it to keep in touch with a lot of people - including friends, family and co workers. I also use the internet for entertainment such as games. I use it to read the daily news also. I'd be pretty lost with out the net, that's for sure!

i would definetly wouldn't know what to do without computers. I wouldn't be making money online anymore. would be harder to communicate with families far away. The world would have to resort to the old ways of doing stuff manually all the time Which could be time consuming

Well I rely on it to get in contact with certain people, to study and do research for school work and to write papers, I use it to lay games, I use it to make money, and I use it to catch on a television show that I may have missed the previous night. So I do use it for a lot of things, but it's not like I'm neglecting things just to use the internet.
