What do you do to put yourself in a good mood?

Do you practice smiling for a few minutes at different times of the day? Do you do the stuff you love to do? Do you sleep? Do you eat? Right now I'm confused about what I want and what's going in on my life. I just want to eat a cheeseburger and not care about anything anymore. After that I want to just chill out and watch anime. What do you do to get out of a weird movie? Maybe I need to exercise and do push-ups and then wash my face with cold water as the cold water slaps me in the face and wakes me up from this surreal fantastical illusion I'm living in right now.

I spend time with my daughter, sometimes cuddling or playing. It doesn't matter what we are doing as long as we are together it always lifts my mood. Some of the other ways I improve my mood are short meditations or calling a friend. Generally something that connects you with life is going to be your best bet for improving your mood.

When I'm in a bad mood, I pop on my favorite music/ songs then sometimes, I sing along aloud. Talking to my friends, having someone to chat with, text with or even call makes me feel better... If all things fail, I have a drink with my buddies and have a really good time.

Hi pen rocker chic: I think that's a nice idea. I have heard so many times that musica can calm down the beast. And when we are in a bad mood- at least in my case- there's a beast that want to explode and scream or cry or whatever so we have to control those bad feelings and I think that listening music is a positive way to do this. music washes the dust life gives to me. when i am not OK, I play the piano. i am not good though, and the pieces i play are simple. still, it makes me feel alright. also, when someone pisses me off, i just chat with my close friend and tell him everything i feel. good thing, he's always there. lastly, i eat and eat and eat.

Hi eddy spaguetti: I usually read, sleep and play video games in these occasions. I have to control myself too because, when I feel down for any reason I start eating and it's difficult for me to control myself. I eat and eat and eat and eat .. haha ! Go to the malls, watch movies .. Read books, draw cartoons something like that because everytime I do what I love most it feels like I'm also in good mood then.

Hello Eddy...... I am always in good mood if I don't have to so a house work . I try to meet many positive people in my life so I will feel the same too. Good movie usually help me to raise my mood, also a funny story.

Well, I have a number of different things that I like to do and they form part of my daily routine! Like you I'm reaching the stage whereby I'm not overly bothered about what happens and I don't have a major plan for my future. Having said this there are things that keep me happy and content as it were. I enjoy daily exercise and cycling is at the top of my list! Regular exercise makes you feel good inside and it definitely gets my adrenaline going! I also love to read and I read a lot, mainly fiction and this helps me to escape reality for a short while. I get to visit other worlds and I also have the opportunity to enter someone elses life for a short while whilst I am totally engrossed within that book! This improves my mood. I also love to meditate on a daily basis and I've heard that this can be good for your mind as well as your body. In terms of music well I also have my favourites that I listen to on a regular basis and it's mainly choral for me as I find this type of music so relaxing as well as mystical. I'm sure that I heard somewhere that music can really affect your anatomy in terms of improving and relaxing the brain. There are so many different things that you can do to improve your mood these days that I guess there really is no excuse to sit around and do nothing but also, this is perfectly acceptable if this is what the person wants!! It's good that we live in a free society and we are able to make our own choices as regards and future and destiny! Andrew

If i am bad mood ,i usually be sulking.So the fastest easily remedy is watch some funny movies..like south park cartoons or the simpsons. Sometime i go for walks or do gardening like cutting grasses or spraying weed killer around the garden.If not too bad , sometime i hang around with 1 or 2 friends while i smoke.haha.Listen to friend crap and jokes is letting go steams too.

Yes I do eat, sleep and many more, well if to have a walk in a park and think what you really want to do to your life, or look for something that may motivate you, I always looking a picture of a car and big bike, I do it to motivate my self and don't just stand and do nothing, I also look some picture's of other country also to motivate me, If I'm in bad mood I just listen to music, or watch funny movies that's all.

I outs into the mountains , or any silent place. this make me feel good. but if there is friends, i am used to hang out with them , get some food , watch movie , or anything that can make me better.

Well when im usually down i put my favorite songs on and just hear them while i just kick it. And when im mad i lay in bed just trying to relax and stare off into space. I usually always eat when im bored but i need to stop doing that. :)

It really depends on my mood and what's going on in my life. Sometimes I'll just call up some friends to hang out with them and that always puts me in a good mood. Singing also helps lift my spirits a bit. It really depends, but, thinking about it now, I do think that spending time with my friends is the most certain way to life my spirits.
