How close are you to your online friends?

I know many of us are blessed to have meet some really great people here on mylot. I have seens some great people come and go. However there are those people that i have meet online that i have never met in person but come to love very much. Theres my great friend who lives in Texas. She is just that kind of person that makes your heart sing. She is really a great wonderful person. When i need some real honest talking to, I can always count on her. Then there's my brother from another mother Blkcat1... that brotha is just that, a true brotha.
So have you met some people are online that have become more like family to you? People you can share with and know that saying this person is my friend, is such a true statement?

I wish I had more time for my online friends, but, unfortunately I don't. Due to my five classes that I'm currently taking is nearly impossible to keep up with friends including families at this point in my life. I do try my best to stay in touch as I know that friendship is very important.

Quite hard for you to interact in that kind of life KathysLaw, having that busy schedule really puts a stop at socialization sometimes. It due time, you can have all the space to go out with friends and hangout with your family. Don't worry. *smile

I have just a few online friends. But a couple of them are really GOOD friends and I know I can count on them. I think they feel the same about me too. I am very careful with making friends online...I don't trust anything anyone says and it takes much much longer for me to make a true friend online than offline. But I think the friends I've made online are as true as my offline friends...maybe a little more...because I find it easier to open up more with my online friends than my offline ones.

hi 34molmma oh I do love my mylot friends here and some are so close that I worry when things go wrong, I even love a certain little dog that belongs to on of my great mylot friends, shes a lovely person with a fantastic little dog, I hav e so many friends here,I love you all even
if I have never met you.yes even the crazy ones, specially one or two
who are full of fun and brighten my day each time I read their comments and responses.Yes oneof mine also lives in Texas maybe even the same one lol. hurray to all my mylot friends. hugs from hatley.

Hi momma! Of course I love my online friends! In most cases I
love some of them more than my "real" friends! I have made some
very serious relationships here and I have friends that I talk
to off the "Lot" and have learned to love very dearly! I don't
think of them any differently to the friends that I have next
door, across the street, in the next city or in the next states
that I have always known! Once someone touches my heart they are
my "real" friend and most of the time for life! And consider
yourself "touched" momma! I loves you too!

. thank you for saying that... how sweet of you. trust me i know what you mean. I have meet some of the most amazing people on mylot and on a few other sites that have not only touched my life, but have made my life better for being in it. yeah most i don't get to give a big ol hug to and say thank you, but I hug them every single night in my dreams!! I love online!

I have made several great online friends that I would miss terribly if I couldn't speak to them. Some of them I haven't seen online in awhile in fact and I do miss them terribly. I still find it strange how close it is possible to get to people you have never met in person.

well I have many friends online too. but i am closed to few. well with this internet we get oppurtunity to know people of differnt caste culturesa and its sometimes we have very nice experience.

Like you, I too have some very dear friends online and hope to meet them some day. I have met one earlier this summer and she is fantastic! Hubby and I drove from NC to GA to go to the aquarium in Atlanta and picked up my friend and took her with us and we had a wonderful time! Another friend is in Germany and some day I hope to meet her whether she comes here or we go over there. Another lives in FL and some day I hope to meet her and there are a number of others such as one in Tenn, one in Virginia, one in Canada..... I could go on forever!

i have some online friends for four years .i really miss these days when i first met them on intern forums and instant chatting group .i liked the one who found the new land .cuz as then this was my real first time surf the Internet .these was so much interesting things out there .in the autumn of 2006,i met them .but as time goes by ,many people went away and disappear ,like them didnt even come here .but there was light memory left .now ,some of them still keep in touch with me .but not frequently .

I like Mylot a lot.And people here are all so helpful and kind-hearted.When I have problems,I always come here.I have got to know some awesome friends on Mylot.And I am grateful to all of this.I haven't met any in person,though.Hope I can see them in real life some day.And share our happy times on Mylot.That would be so great!
I have seen someone from Tagged in real life,though.One became my brother.We often talk with each other and go out sometimes.He is really a nice guy.I have also met a foreigner from Tagged who is now studying in the city I'm in now.How amazing it is that the Internet brought us together!lol!

Well, I still communicate with my online friends via YM/AIM and facebook. Mostly, just to say hello and do some chit chatting. Most of them I have done business with and played online games with for several years. And most of them seem to be friendly. So, I tend to be friends with them. And talk when ever I get the extra time to.

I've met some online friends in real and have made really good friends as well. Its always nice to be in touch with good friends. Although I haven't met anyone from myLot yet (I just started using myLot couple of days ago) but hope to meet many friends from myLot in real too :)

I am kind of chhating freak i love to make online friends..in yahoo messenger here in mylot,in facebook,orkut..but truly saying i am not very close to them not i see any emotional attachment with any of my online friend.

Hi, 34momma, I do have a lot of Mylot friends. I do love them very much. They are so good and loving. But I don't chat with them online. I don't meet them in person either. However I would love meeting them all in person.

i met my best friend online in an aol chat more than ten years ago. shes the godmother to my children.. my greatest confidant.. and one of the best people ive ever had the honor to have in my life. my younger brother.. hasnt always been my brother. he, too, i met nearly ten years ago while playing everquest. and theres at least a dozen others that started out online, and have merged into my "real" life and have become invalueable to me. theres a few here on the lot that im hoping we will get the opportunity to sit down face to face over a cup of coffee one day

I don't get too involved with people i meet online. I'm not close to anyone of my friends here. I consider my friends cuz they're on my friends list. Well, some of my friends even intends to only send referral links so i deleted them.

i am blessed to have met online friends and they became real friends. whats nice is that we started on the same ground, meaning same interests and all. so it was no surprise that when we all finally met up, it was as if we've known each other for a long time already.

i have online friends in yahoo messenger. i call them online buddies. i don't think i can love those people i haven't seen.
these online buddies are my church mates and classmates.
one online buddy who is a thousand miles away from me; still, i consider him as one of the best friends i have. he never fails to annoy me and to tease me; same as he never fails to listen to me and tell stories.
it's just heart-warming to have friends like those. so far, yet so close.
