Have you been a victim of a scam? Well, me neither! Have you been cheated? Yep, me too! I had some funds available for tasks here at myLot and I posted a sign up task some days ago. Everything was done smoothly, people signed up, I approved them. There was something strange though. About 4-7 people had 0 posts here in myLot. I assumed that they saw the task through google and then they signed up to myLot. A day afterward, I wasn't able to log in to the site which I had my sign up task. It was saying that I got my referral link viewed by 25 IPS but I had 30 sign ups. Yup, I got cheated. That people, the ones that had 0 myLot posts, were nothing but duplicate accounts at myLot of some myLotters. What's the most dump thing about them? Well, I got my account back at the site I had the sign up task for, they got banned from this site, and they have now a 0 posts myLot account with $0.10 in it. Well done guys! Now you need $9.90 to reach payout! PS: I had another sign up task, and there were still a couple of "these" guys. Unfortunately for them, I said at my task that only people with 100 posts here are eligible for my task

WTF is the world coming too? Everyone is learning how to scam these days? That has not happened to me (and I woldn't post s sign-up task her Val cos they are not allowed) and I'm glad yu got your account back too. Did you report their usernames to myLot? This will be added to the other complaint that I posted about at the week-end. Things are not being kept under check enough here IMHO

Multiple accounts are not allowed here. They would (should) delete them. That is why they should be reported. There are often sign-up tasks but they then get removed once admins get to them. It's in the FAQs that they are not allowed

Yea I just realized that multiple accounts are not allowed over here. I guess I am too tired. Guess they are at FAQ! Did I just piss you off? lol

No! I can 'feel' that you are pissed off - and as someone said up there, you should be partying not moping today!

I used to do tasks, but I never did the sign-up tasks. I also did not have at least 100 next to my name (it is not a post count, by the way), but I wasn't scamming or cheating anyone, and I did not have multiple accounts on here. I just was not entirely sure that the whole "social networking" thing was for me, but I was still able to earn a decent amount by doing the tasks. Not everybody with a low number is a scammer or cheat just as those with a high number are not necessarily stellar members of the community.

For sure. But there was not a simpler way for me to filter them. Sure I could demand their confirmation mail, but many people do not want to do such tasks because they are afraid that their personal information will be given to someone untrustworthy. I know it's not the number of posts. It's the number of discussions started + first comment on a thread + first comment one someone's response but I was too bored to say all that so I just used the word "posts"! I find you kind of attacking! What's wrong? Period? (love you )

I do tasks, but not the signup ones. :) No - I never scammed anybody, but I have been scammed several times. There is this category - some of us are born to be scammers, while othes are born to be scammed. If not in this way, they will find another way. You belong to my party bro!

Ehm. I didn't say I scammed anyone either I am not sure if we are born to be scammed or born to be scammers. I just believe that scammers, think they are so much more intelligent than their victims, which is sad if you consider the fact that they actually are not! lol

I am shocked that someone would do that for $0.10? What the heck is wrong with people? I did your sign up task and please don't forget to let me know how it works out, when you get your 50 refs.

Yup, I have encountered numerous scam artists online. I my self was a victim of one, which I lost 40 dollars. I sold him an online item, He seemed legit, but after a day, the paypal funds were reverted and I could not do anything about it since, It was an online good and I can not provide any shipping proofs. So, I decided to let it go, and smart up to prevent such scams from happening to me again. Why do people scam?

Hmmm. I am wondering why this happened. I think by the time they saw that he was an account hacker they could just refund you with their own (paypal's) money.

Hah! Now it's an art? LoL I am so sorry you lost these $40 dollars. YOu sure there was nothing you could do? Not even contact PayPal? I know that they are very supportive when you encounter a scammer. Why do people scam? Because they have no brains to do it the legit way

I tried contacted by paypal all they said was the original owner filed a reversal. I also talked online with the owner of the paypal.. Sadly, she said "she needed the money and she did not order anything of that nature." Paypal told me if I could send a copy of the shipping documents then they could revert it back and I would win. But, I did not have anything of that nature because it was online currency. Plus, I discovered that the paypal the dude was using was a hacked paypal. And I.P addresses did not matched with the original IP of the owner. It was investigated for 2 weeks by paypal they sent me an email stating such.

I am glad you caught them and didn't loose any money. I guess in today's world you just can't avoid chaters, you have to deal with them.

Well if were speaking in more general terms i recently got scammed for my after prom. The lady had us wire her money for an apartment that we later learned never existed. I can't be that angry though because we got what we desearved by not doing a background check on her. Oh well i only lost $30. Cheers!

$30 is a respectful amount of money for me by the time I do not use the money I earn offline, online.
