Randy, Ellen, Kara, Paula or Simon. Which do you identify yourself with?

So five judges have lent their expert opinions to America in the past 9 years. Each of them have their own personalities and their own unique qualities as individual people, in addition to being knowledgeable in music and the music industry. All of them display a quality of honesty that they communicate in different ways. Randy is predictable, making him a little straight to the point with few words. Ellen's fresh point of view is instinctive as a music fan. Kara is more intuitive and a little analytical. Paula is very sensitive and she cares for the contestants so much. Simon...well, Simon doesn't really care; he is brutally honest and won't care if he offends anyone because he knows where the money is, so to speak. If you were one of the 5 American Idol judges, which one would you be? Which one of the five do you think you identify with? If you think you identity with more than one, limit yourself to two.

I am definitely a Paula. I hate to hurt people's feelings and I am WAY to nice...Sometimes to nice =)

For every bad thing she has to say as a judge to contestant, she has about 2 nice things to say to them. Kinda shows how she thinks fast on her toes.

i am an ellen. i don't understand music technicalities. if i like the singer, the way she/he sung it and the song choice suits-over all then i like the performance.

Ellen is very straight forward. She looks for people on Youtube so they can come on her show because she knows they're great. This go-getter attitude paired with her vast taste in music makes her a down to earth Idol judge.

I would be a cross between Ellen and Paula. Ellen because of being a music fan and loving the whole idea of being able to give the contestants my thoughts of what I loved or did not love of the performance. Paula it would be because I would care about the contestants and would not want to hurt their feelings in anyway. I could never be like Simon. Even though the show will not be the same with him gone. In fact I give it another season and then its going to be over I believe.

I think Paula and Ellen both care about all the contestants and they do have a soft spot for everyone. AI producers have to be careful with their choice of judge for next year. They can't pick someone who's mean for the sake of being mean, and they have to pick someone who has enough personality to carry their expert opinion.

American idol judges are a blast. I love to hear their comments almost as much as watching the contestants. I feel I can identify with Simon the most. He was never afraid to tell something the way it was. Honesty can be brutal, but he did it with such style.

I just love the judges. They have special bond like no other, especially after having to sit through hours of bizarre auditions. Randy used to violently react when Simon would diss a performance but lately, he wouldn't react as violently. Paula used to have moments like that but as the seasons progressed, she'd harmoniously agree with Simon. Simon's influence sunk in later and although America didn't like him at first, it made good television. Then deep down inside, everyone admitted that they love him. I'll miss Simon.
