oh dont worry I actually still have her in my presence. The thing is that since her buddy, the pekingnese, Lucy and Agra, left, my Coconut has grown more and more close to my son. Used to be she came to my (and her) bed as soon as i laid down and slept the night with me. during the day she hung out with me mostly. Now its like she thinks shes my sons dog she hangs by the door before he comes home when its near time. who knows how she can tell time? As soon as he gets here, she goes nuts like hes been gone a year! then she actually "speaks" to him. it sounds like she saying words but in some other language anyway, when he goes to bed, she goes under his bed (its so high she cant jump on it) and sleeps until he gets up when he takes his day nap. because he works nights from about 3am till 12 noon. When i go to bed now, shes no where to be found, for hours. which makes it hard for me to go to sleep. even though i know shes likely under his bed or in his computer room with him. Some time after i go to sleep, she ends up in my bed. Probably after he goes to work.."sad"lol.. I know i shouldnt be jealous but its begining to get to me at times..lol. Even though i know he will be there for her after im gone. thats all that comforts me. Have you ever gotten just a little jealous over your pet? Silly me.!!!

nah.my calico, raised and cared for by me,LOVES my brother.she follows him around and wails when she can't find him.even waits at the door around the time he comes home, and gives him grief if he's late. but we live in the same house,so i get her back when it's food time.THEN she ignores him.

My cats are shameless bed hoppers. Sometimes it's my bed, sometimes it's one of the children. No point in getting jealous.

yes when i had cats they were the same. but usually dogs pick one person to sleep with. except i guess my dog figures she belongs to both of us since Lucy left. lucy used to sleep with them.

Ok this is simple. FOOD always wins out!!! Get a bag of really yummy treats and shake the bag then feed some to your dog while he is at work then HIDe them under your bed!!!! Shake the bag and your dog will come running!!!! Well, it works with the rabbit!!!!

For Patches this is the sound of a bag of M&M's! As soon as the bag shakes he comes running! He use to trap me in our bedroom, the door opens in so he would be on the outside and when I tried to come out I couldn't open the door far enough to get out without him gettin in. So I would have to call my husband, he would shake the bag of M&M's and the rabbit would come running and I could get out! My husband found this very humerous!!!1 Trapped by a 5# rabbit...that rabbit weighs a lot more then 5#'s!

I haven't been jealous but I know a couple of my partners have been jealous of my dog. It was really horrible to experience. Of course, it's a whole different scenario for you. These days, my dog Lucy loves the company of my male friend. It was the same with my ex. She adored him. Her first owner was a young man and I think this is what it is...she prefers a male master. My ex was great with her, giving her the attention she craved but my friend barely notices her and she just idolises him. I'm not jealous, I just wish he would pay more attention to her.

i totally understand. im not really jealous of my dogs love for son. i think its because shes a girl dog like yours and they seem to be just like us in enjoying a mans attentions actually i kind of get a kick out of his love for her and hers for him.

I sometimes act like I'm jealous because a cat might seem to prefer someone else. Normally, I'm just acting tho...

Hi bunny! I do understand how you feel! But, I don't understand why Coco would suddenly change and decide she wants to be with your son! Dogs and cats are strange at best and they do things that are definitely hard to figure out! But, they are the only ones sometimes that know why they are doing what they are doing and we are left wondering! When did this start happening? Is it sudden or did it start after Lucy left? She is obviously missing her companion! Did you think about getting her another "doggy friend"? I think you both would be great having another dog to take care of! I know what an animal lover you are so why not "adopt"? You know how the crowded the shelters are! Why not think about it?

we have considered that but sons new gf, has a little dog and when she comes, if she comes, we are thinking that will be enough. ive figured it out. coco loves to go places and sons the one takes her little walks and rides. so thats a lot of it. im not really, real jealous. i realise she needs someone if anything happens to me. i was mostly being silly.

First of all, nothing is going to happen to you! Sadly, you will probably outlive Coco! Well, you know what I mean! I'm just trying to console you! I've already lost my friggen mind this weekend! My stupid azz bf/roommate has pushed me way beyond limits! If I told you you wouldn't believe what a moron he is and what a moron I was for not putting his stupid azz out in the street! Again...another story for another time! I am going to have to start the fight with my doc tomorrow to get him to get my test results and he doesn't really care so I will keep calling him and his nurse until they DO CARE! Take it easy Bun, you know where I am if you want to talk! You should email me your phone #! I have unlimited out of state calls!

Well, your dog is special to you..and your friend..and like with any loving relationship a person will feel a little jealous when the other person/pet is paying more attention to another.. it isn't silly at all and very natural feeling. I am sure you aren't the first and won't be the last to have these feelings. Till..then..try getting coconut some treats..she will love that..and on another thought maybe coconut can feel that he needs her right now..dogs sense that sometimes..

thats possible. the thing i think it is that she watches him more carefully because i cant walk her and he takes her for little walks and sometimes rides in the car. dogs love that even when they have a backyard access like coco.

Yes this can happen and it did once happen to me lol and I did get a bit jealous But I guess it can happen and it could be because he walks her and that Bunny I can understand that it gets to you because she has always been you but believe me she still loves you Big Hugs

nO, I CAN'T SAY I HAVE BUT THERE'S NOONE HERE BUT ME SO MINE DOESN'T HAVE A CHOICE ANYMORE, LOL. When my son was still home she'd have a hard time making her up mind sometime which one she was going to sleep with but it never made any difference to me. Have a good one.

I had a cat named Zeebaw, he is lost now since one month, I don't know what happened to him as I tried to search for him every where and every time, I still cannot find him, I was very possessive with him, when someone would ask me to take my cat I would refuse I was attached to him a lot and now he is missing.

iam so sorry med889. i hope you can find him soon. maybe hes being kept by someone in the neighborhood. male cats will run off when they sense a female somewhere. then come back home after days. i had one like that once and was just lucky the kids saw him in a neighbors window. we had a tough time getting him back but they finally gave him back when their dad found out.

Dogs can be bribe.Food and chew toys is they greatest weakness. Your can try to bribe the dog with bacon slices or nice dog biscuits, he will follow u more often now. Chew toys that your only keep and be provided to him. Made sure those bacon slices are secret between you and the dogs. Personally i don like dogs sleeping with me , maybe because my dog passes gas and my chew my blankets, ticks , smelly mouth and such.

your poor dog. maybe it needs more baths? and different food since sometimes food causes the gas. i know not many people lets their dog sleep with them but i think i got that habit when i used to just have cats

awwwww! im so glad you dont beat them and hope you never do. sounds like shes such a sweetie. i had the same with my dog Bear a black lab thats gone now i guess he figured hed enjoy as much food and love as he could get the short time he lived. anyway, it shouldnt be a problem. lots of dogs are piggies. i used to scold Bear to not eat coconuts food as she picked at hers slowly. he did learn eventually so maybe you just have to keep at the scolding till she learns

hi bunnybon7 yes but in my case it was the other way around they got a dog of heinz57 breed who was a small female . My parents gave her to my younger sister who was just so so about a dog. well I found a job in rapid city so was gone all week , just coming home on the weekends. when the bus stopped in the country at our country road mymom said Pat was going crazy so she let her out. the road to our house was a quarter mile and that dog came gallumphing up that road in awhirl and would just go crazy around me , running in circles around me until i started to walk towards our house then she would run ahead, look back at me, give a soft woof and thus she walked me home. I loved the little girl so much and when we moved to Arizona for my dad's arthritis she was going with us. So when I married and had to have a hysterectomy after two babies in 11 months, we let my mom and sister care for Pat, but when I went to pick up my dog, they sheepishly told me they had her put down as she was too old. too old? She was ten and still pretty healthy, how dare they do that without my consent? All to buy an ugly little Chihuahua that had a bad temper. My husband tried to soothe me but I was furious;my mom said well it w as my dog so my decision. no she was my dog,she picked me out as the others were not all that gung on her as she was not a pure bred anything, but they could not get it though their heads that they had let me take her into my home, and love her and feed her so yes she was my dog. they did not want her well fine I did. I forgave but I have never forgot ever. she was really my dog.
