I used to like it because not to many people had the Denise. As I got older it seemed that everywhere I went there were a few more Denise's. I like my name. Its better than what my dad wanted to name me. JOAN or ROBERTA. Nothing against the names but it just wouldnt suit me. I am happy with my own name. My daughters like their names too. Aria and Anissa. They are pretty I think. Im glad that they are happy with them. dl

Why thanks Juice! I named Aria from Madam Butterfly. Anissa is a combination of Aria and Denise. Thanks for the compliment. You dont look so bad yourself. You're hot! dl

Denise is a nice name, I can think of 2 Denises I have heard of - one's an actress, one used to be a gymnast in the British team. I like your daughters names too, very pretty. I love unusual names.

I like my name, it's pretty cool. I don't really have a nickname, most people tend to refer to me as my name. I sometimes wished I had a nickname but those days are long passed now. It's mainly at school you get them or with your friends and none of mine called me anything except for my name. Our names can be pretty cool, I know a friend who doesn't like his and he wants to have it legally change.

I really love my original name. My real name they say is very long. I am very grateful to my parents gave me a name like my name now. My first name is INDAH, which means beautiful. Although my life is not beautiful like my name. I hope to one day, my life will be beautiful like my name. I'm trying to get a beautiful life with my small family.

I love all my names whether its nick or real name. There is nothing about hating names. Parent chooses a name with some meanings and that is good. People close to me call me by nick name that include some workplace peoples as well, other people call me by my formal name.

Hi LIENROSSE, I love the real name that my loving dad gave to me. It's meaningful. I have been using it since the first day it's named. I'm glad that so far I haven't come across anyone who has the same name It's the name I use offline. I have my online username. It's simple and easy and convenient to type. I belive it's easy for others to remember as well Have a nice day and happy posting!

I like my real name since I was young, because it's a name given by my parents. Also, I think my name is quite nice in Chinese writing. My username is actually a short form of my real name, and I think it's easy to remember too.

I certainly do not hate my real name. I am savvy enough not to give my real name or any personal information on any Internet website.

Hi Lien! I don't like my real name! I have always wished that it was different! But, that has nothing to do with my "user name"! I picked my user name because I had never been on a site like this before and didn't know what to expect! So I chose my birthstone as my user name!

I used to hate my name as a kid because it was so long and hard to spell. Plus people always pronounced it wrong (they still do). But not I think my nick name sounds so childish. Plus I have never actually met any one with my exact name. I have found people who are close but it never sounds the same.

I use my nickname online and even in real life more than my real name. I got my nickname Bill in 1990 and it has stuck with me all this time so much that 20 years later only my parents, sister and extended family call me by my real name.

I happen to love my real name. It is spelled completely wrong. It was unfortunate that my Puerto Rican mother is completely Spanish and English illiterate for the common world. However, because of her illiteracy, she stated my name at a county hospital where all the staff were of a different culture so they spelled as they heard it. Due to the misspelling it cause a great deal of people to spell and say it wrong. I never get upset when they say it wrong. But I get very excited when they say it right the first time. Makes for a very unique name, but then fate knew it was appropriate for this unique woman...LOL

I hated my name before because when I was a kid, my classmates and teachers mispronounced it so I always get embarrassed in school. Eventually, I get used to it. I told myself no one will ever love my real name except me so slowly I learn to love it and instead of hating my name, I starting to hate those people who mispronounced my name. Ha ha ha. Lol. Kidding aside, now I am learning to love my name but that does not mean I will expose it here. Ha ha.

I used to hate my real name, ODELONE. Since grades school I get used to using ODILON as my name. Few years ago before entering college, unaware that my name was misspelled incorrect even my mom did'nt noticed the discrepancy since birth that my real name written in my birth certificate was ODELONE, we argue and insist to changed the spelling. Since it cost a lot changing misspelled letter we ended up using ODELONE as my real name. Now, i get used to it. I love my name now. some says its cool and unique. some says it weird. I dont care.

My real name means PEACE that's why I like it, but I'm using my codename because it's the combination of my husband's nickname and mine.

Not really. My real name is okay but my name is very common here in my place. There are even 2 people here that has the same name as I have. We used to be in the same college and our files almost got interchanged because of that. Though my name is common, I still love it. I could not think of another name that I could have or would want to have.

My real name is okay, I don't like it but I don't hate it either. I just find it too short because it six letters and one syllable. SOmetimes I just wished I had a longer name so I could play with different nicknames but also I'm glad that my name does not sound so cheesy.
