Where did the time go...........

This morning I told myself that I was going to get myself caught up with my online sites since I had a ton of things to do online. I also wanted to spend a lot of time here on Mylot to answer a bunch of my friend's discussions. I figured I have around four hours to do all of this while my son is at preschool. Well around 9:30am I took my son to preschool and then I figured I better do a few quick errands while I was out. So I ran to Kmart and got a few articles of clothing for the kids that were on sale. Then I thought to myself that I might as well return the library books that are sitting in the car and are due today. So of course I also wound up looking at some books while I was there. It's more relaxing to look at books when you don't have any kids to look after. Then after that I went to Walmart to pick up some dog food and dishwasher tablets and of course I got stuck looking at some more clothes that were on sale for the kids. By the time I got home it was 12 noon. So now I am finally on the computer typing away. I still need to eat lunch and do some laundry before I have to pick up my son at 2:30. So basically I probably have about an hour that I can devote to working online right now. Where did the time go?

I feel that we all wish to do the things that we like but don't want to do the things that we hate. So , I always spend so much time to play and take relaxing and always feel time is not enough when something don't like must to be done. :)

That is so true. I think I need to stop sometimes and just relax for myself.

Yes, that's true. It's always easier to find time for the things we enjoy doing! We have to prioritise what things we do, as we don't have enough hours in the day to do everything.

Bless your heart, i know how easy that can happen but u needed that time this morn to yourself to just putz around & do what u wanted & needed to do. Hope u found some good books, i love to read but mylot sure has cut into my reading time, lol. Don't worry about today, there's always tomorrow to get caught up online. Have a good one.

Ha..that sounds alot like how my days go, I'll try to allot some time to do my computer things, which includes getting on Mylot and answering friends discussions, but I always get sidetracked, I remember some errands I need to run first, then before I know it, its late afternoon before I get back home, and I only have an hour or so to get things done online. I always wonder where the time went also, its funny.

It really is crazy when you only have so many hours to get done what you need to do before the kids come home, etc. But I know one day, when they are older, we'll miss these crazy times.

Oh, this kind of thing happens to me too! I have the time while my youngest is at school (9am-3pm or so) when I hope to do the housework and get everything done online. But then someone rings or comes round and half an hour is gone, there's a queue at the shops and that's another half an hour... Then somehow she's home from school, wants to go on the computer and I haven't got anything much done!!!

I am secretly looking forward to when my youngest is in school all day. Although hubby says I need to go back to work full time then. I really hope that by then I'll have enough resources to make enough money online so that I can still stay at home.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I'm always looking at the clock to figure out how much more time I have before the "tornadoes" come crashing through the door.

Time flies when your having fun. My grandson was home from school one day. He asked how come when im in school the day goes so slow and when in not in school the day goes fast? I told him thats just the way it is when you start going to work it will be the same way.

It's called "Life". There's a book out entitled, "Life is What Happens When You're Busy Making Other Plans." No sense in getting upset that we don't do the things we had planned. Just go with the flow. Look at what you did get accomplished! I remember back when my kids were young. Oh, how I loved browsing in the stores by myself, without the little rug rats scampering all over the place and me forever trying to reel them in! I'd say you had a very productive day!

I'll have to look for that book at the library the next time I go. It really is a joy to be at a store by yourself browsing. No distractions, no stress.

That sounds like one busy day you had! When you are keeping busy I suppose you tend to forget about time and it just flies by! I'm not as busy as that and so I guess time seems to go slow. Still, I try to occupy my time effectively and I like to spend some time on My Lot throughout the day. I also love to cycle especially when it is warm and it has been very warm these past couple of days. I think that if My Lot keeps you happy then you should do as much of it as you can and post away! Other things have to be done as well though and so I guess I tend to prioritise my time. I sometimes wonder why the human race created Time! Do we really need it? Time just seems to create so much stress and pressure. I decided not to wear a watch a long time ago and I think it was a really good decision on my part, I feel so much happier! Andrew

If you are able to figure it out, please let me know. Today is my daughter's last day of school so it means that I am going to be having even less peace than I have right now. Heck, there is no peace in my house right now as I'm babysitting my nieces so I have practically an entire preschool class in my house at this given time. I have a one year old and two three year olds. I want to spend a lot of time on here typing in discussions, but I can't devote my undivided attention to my time.

Wow your school is done early for summer break. I know what you mean about having less peace once school is over. I just know my kids are going to be arguing more during the summer from being around each other too much.

Well it seems you have done quiet a job there, thats a lot of work for one day, time never waits for anyone nor does it have to stop for anyone. Lot of work means lot of devotion of time on that particular work to be completed.even myself thinks a day is like an hour when we need something to do that is important, when its boring i see time never goes.anyway you have at least got an hour to spend here be thankful for that, dont you feel tired for doing all that work, gone busy and still how do you manage to get a mood in to spend here myloting. i spend my time here only when am in mood for it. i hope you are busy tommorow too with just an hour to spend on mylot. have a great day.

I recently left my job due to health issues. When i was at work, everything was timed. Everywhere had a clock. I was on a schedule. Broke my days up between lunch and ten minute breaks then it was time to come home. Now that i am home with my 2 year old. Time does fly, and everything i wanted to get done never happens that way, There is no set schedule, no meetings etc.. and like you i find myself doing errands, that weren't planned and coming home and its time to make dinner. Or my older son has a school function. But i wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I used to work at a job like that too. They even had video cameras at the entrances so that they could see what time you came into work. I don't miss it for a minute. I'd much rather have life the crazy way it is right now.

I know it is crazy. If anyone was even one minute late the camera's knew the truth and people were told about it. Talk about a stressful job. Glad you are so close to your kids. I really think being home with them helps a great deal!

Video cameras! Crazy! Guess no one could pad their timecards!:). I miss the people not work! But I like being at home. Yes crazy that it is, But being home with my kids is great! Both my parents worked and i was raised by babysitters. I am really close to my kids and i love it!:)

When I am without kids, it always seems to fly. If I have the kids, most of the time it just crawls unless we have someplace we really have to be.

Life interferes, doesn't it? I can't see anything on your list that you should not have gotten done and you even included a few minutes just for you, looking at books. That sounds healthy to me! Online stuff can wait, live your life and have some fun, enjoy your child and family and catch up on the online crap when you can. I get distracted all the time by life and it always feels better than sitting in front of the computer!

Hello! It looks like you've done a lot in these few hours. And it is very good. Sometimes, I too figure where the time go? Why it goes so fast? Sometimes, I seat on my house to computer do my homeworks, answer to email, and simply comment my favorite forums. The time goes very quickly. But, when I do other jobs like clean my house. Time do not go so fast. I have enough time to cook lunch to my family, leave the dog for a walk, and go outside with my friends. I think the time speed depends of our activities. Example, seat to computer or do house works. I believe that time on this life is to small to do all what we want. Every life moment is beautiful. It no mater, If it bad or good. We just need taste the life.
