Next week I am going to visit the capital of my country (Copenhagen) I live on a different island and it is pretty expensive to cross the brigde, because we have to pay each time we want to go from my island to the island where Copenhagen is. When I have paid the toll I usually try to make good use of the time and visit as many places as possible in Copenhagen or in the area around Copenhagen. This time I plan on a visiting a sculpture exhibition and the botanical garden while I am there. I am going to Copenhagen, because I want to buy some old magazines from a person I have found online. He has a huge collection of old magazines from the 60's and the 70's and I want to buy some of those magazines so that I can use them in my art. Have you visited the capital of your country? Is it far away from your home or close to your home? What do you like to do when you visit the capital?

I am going to visit Krakow in about 4 months, and I really look forward to that. I have been to Poland before, and I have visited Warsaw, Wroclaw and a couple of other places, but I haven't the chance to go to Krakow yet. I have heard that Krawkow is very beautiful. I plan on reading some more about the history and the places before I go there.

I don't know if I will go to Oswiecim. I would like to, but I am travelling with my husband and he has already been there twice, and he is not sure if he wants to go there again, so we haven't decided yet.

Hello! That may sound funny, but I travel very rarely to the capital of my country. I do not need to pay for entry, and capital is located near my home. About 75km from my town. The capital of my country is Riga beautiful city. It is highly popular with tourists. I often do not go to my capital, because I have big beautiful city's closer to my town. Like Cesis and Sigulda. Usually, I go to my capital when, I need something for construction, because in my capital there is greater choice. Do you now my capital Riga? I've heard a lot of interesting about Copenhagen beautiful city.

My husband and I visited Riga last year, and I think it is a beautiful place. I enjoyed walking around in the streets and I took many pictures. One day we sailed on the river Daugava and it was a very nice experience. I enjoyed eating the Latvian food, and we tried many kinds of dishes. We also visited Sigulda, that was different from Riga, but I really liked Sigulda as well. It is a beautiful place. My husband and I didn't have a map of Sigulda and we got lost a few times, but I still enjoyed the time we spent there. I read about Cesis in my guidebook and that also sounded like a nice place, but we didn't have enough time to visit all the places that we wanted to, maybe next time. We have also talked visiting Liepaja next time, but I don't know yet.

I know it is already late responding to you and saying have a nice visit, because I think you have already visited your country's capital city. However, I like hearing about what you have in your capital city, and I guess it must be very interesting to have a visit there. For me, I do not visit my capital city quite often. When I go there, I will usually spend the whole day because there are a lot of places to go and I have to spend some money to go there, so it is going to be a waste if I don't enjoy myself when being in the city. We have a museum, a lot of shopping malls, hypermarkets, a Petronas twin tower, our K.L. tower, the planetarium and the Aquaria. There are a lot more, and I love my capital city.

Yes, I got back from Copenhagen a while ago and I had a very nice time there. When I was there I visited a sculpture museum, it was divided into different categories, and there were sculptures from Greece, from Egypt etc. It was interesting to walk around in there and it took me a couple of hours to see everything. In Copenhagen there are many interesting places to visit for instanse the planetarium, Tivoli, parks, shops and restaurants and cafees. I like to eat in Copenhagen, because there are so many international restaurants to choose from.

The capital of my home country is London. I used to live in one its home counties. I used to work there for two years from the age eighteen to twenty. I used to go to London quite often for shopping and sightseeing. Five years ago I moved to the South West. I go to one of the London Airports when I fly out of my home country. My favorite sights in London are the River Thames, Big Ben, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. I loved going to Kew Gardens. Now London is four and a half hours from where I live but the train fare is expensive. I have visited some capital cites around the world like Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Budapest, Lisbon and Paris. I have been to Wellington in New Zealand, Singapore City, Male in the Maldives, Victoria in the Seychelles and Nairobi in Kenya.

I have been to London a couple of times. When I was 14 I went to London with my parents and my brother, in the 9th grade I went to London with my class and in 2005 I went there with my ex-boyfriend and one of our friends. I have seen many of the famous sights and I especially liked Tower of London. When I was working in Scotland some of my co-workers and I talked about going to London together, but we only had one day off per week, and we didn't really have enough time to go to London if we had to go back the same day, so we gave up the idea. What do you think about Copenhagen?

I am Pakistani, luckily or unluckily I live in the capital. So, visiting the capital city is out of question here , lol. The only problem living in the capital is that its very expensive. Its one of the nicest place, i mean city of pakistan but is very expensive as well. That is the only down side living in the capital. Currently, I am in france , lyon. The capital city, Paris ( as everyone knows about paris) is bit far from my lyon, about 5 hours and I have visited paris once only. But I have plans to visit it again.

I live in England and I rarely go to London, even though my brother lives there. I go once every year or two, and usually if I have a specific reason such as seeing a West End show. It is a 3-4 hour drive from where I live, and I can get there cheaply on a bus, but it doesn't really interest me. I live in a big city anyway, where I can find a lot of the same things London has to offer, although of course not such a huge variety. Soon I will be moving to Germany and living in a town half an hour from its capital, Berlin. I am very excited about this, because it is so close that I will get to explore in small chunks as part of my everyday life without being overwhelmed by the big city. Not to mention that I find it a much nicer and more interesting city than London. I expect I will be visiting at least twice a week.

I have been to London a couple of times in the past, I was there 5 years ago, but I would like to visit London again one day. I have visited several places in Germany, and I even lived in the north of Germany for a while, but I have never been to Berlin. I am going to Berlin in about 4 months and I am also excited about it. I look forward to exploring the city. Living close to Berlin sounds nice, good luck with your life in Germany

I am resident on the edge of my capital city London, the city of my birth, in what is officially known as the Greater London Urban Area, although the city centre is about 13 miles away I think. I don't often visit though, because although this is suburbia, it's heavily urbanised, and there is a large town a few miles away which is officially part of London; so in a sense I am often in my capital as it's a stone's throw away. You have everything where I am; and going to the centre involves a train journey which is expensive and a bit of a bind. I've not been to London for about a year, and before that for about a year. It's not a pleasure for me. I'm happy in the relative quiet of the 'burbs.

I live in Guangzhou, and our capital is Beijing. It takes about nearly 3 hours going to Beijing by plane from my city. I visited Beijing in 1997 and 1998 for a travel. I haven't been there for a long time. I know Beijing is much more beautiful now. I love China

I had visited New Delhi, the capital of my country India in 1969 and 1970 when i was a college-going student. The first time along with 2 other classmates i went there and also to some other cities nearby. New Delhi is very far away from my home city,Mumbai, more than 1000 miles. My city is on the West coast of India whereas Delhi is in the Northern part of the country and strategically placed.Delhi was the capital of the Muslim Mughal rulers before the British came and established their rule. There are many wonderful architectural monuments both of Mughal as well as British. My 2nd visit was in 1970 when i represented my college in a national students convention which was held there and i was also accompanied by around 50 students of my college and after the convention was over we went on a tour of the nearby cities to see the architecture there. Now i am not in a position to visit Delhi again and also do not wish to go there as it has become very crowded.

You told me several things I didn't know, and it was interesting to read your response. It has always been one of my dreams to visit India, and if I get the chance to go to India in the future I would find it hard to decide which places so visit because it sounds like there are so many interesting places. I would like to travel aorund in India as a tourist, but I am also interested in doing some kind of voluntary work.

I live far away from Washington DC. I have to cross many states to get there. The quickest way is by plane and I can't afford the plane ticket to go. When I was about 12 my mother and I took a road trip through the smokey moutains because my uncle lived in Virgina at the time. He lived close to DC so I got to go visit it then. It is a very historical and educational city. I would love to go back. I do wish I had been a bit older when I visited the first time. The Smithsonian Museum was pretty interesting.

When I was a child and I often travelled with my parents. Sometimes I also wish that I had been a bit older at that time. We have visited many interesting places, but I was more interested in the playground than the museums and the other sights

It costs about 14 hours and RMB263.00($38.51) to go to the capital city Beijing from my home by train. and it's the cheapest way, maybe, or you can have a 1400 kilometers walk/ride? I went to Beijing four times per year for changing trains to school, between the trains I had about 10 hours stay in beijing, I swanned around there. Usually went to a bookstore for reading. I'll continue my learning just in beijing from this September, but a serious problem is the cost. Things in Beijing is twice as expensive as it in my home town.

I live and go to school in the capital of my country. I'm from Canada, so the capital is Ottawa. The weather leaves a lot to be desired, but the fact that it is relatively small (500k people or so) but there is a lot to do is nice. I miss the city when I'm travelling.

I have been in the capital of the country where I live, but I do not go that often, even though it is only one hour away by car, since I do not really like that city so much, and I do not know anyone there either, so I really have no business going there. Sometimes people come to visit me from abroad though, and then I sometimes take them sightseeing there!

I live in the south part of our country, but the capital is on the north ,where is about 2000Km far away from my home, so I have rare time to visit our capital. I have been there 4 years before, and lived there for almost 6 months. I think it's beautiful there, and as to the consumption level, it's almost the same here to the capital. I want to be there someday!
