My husband goes out of town quite often and I've been wondering, how many of you have husbands that get sent out of town on business?

I'm lucky enough that my husband need not be sent out of town for business...I'm very clingy and I know I would have a hard time adjusting if his not around. But anyway, just think that his doing this for you and your family.

Yeah, I tried that, but now that my kids are getting older, his business trips sure sound like a vacation to me! He doesn't spend all his time working, it never fails there is a casino somewhere close where he gets to claim he's working but really, he's having a good time. A much better time than I have, staying with four kids...

Just understand your husband. If he always goes out of town for his job or business just understand it. If he goes out of town why not try to ask him if you can go with him. I do it for you. Its a business activity. Try to call him when he went his way. Don't be mad. I think your husband wants to be the best he can be in his business.

I've been putting up with this for almost 17 years now and I have gone with him. Of course that was before I had three teenagers, and a preteen. Now, I'm stuck with the kids. No one wants to deal with teenagers, so finding someone to run them here and there is hopeless.

I feel pretty fortunate that my husband only has to go out of town like once, maybe twice a year for his job. My husband does have to work one weekend a month and sometimes late evenings with his job but it's nice knowing that he's always coming home. I love having my husband around all of the time.. lol...so I don't think I'd like it so much if he had to go out of town on business much. Do you find that you enjoy some "you time" while he's gone? That would be one part I think I would enjoy!

No, I HATE it! We fight when he's gone, which most people find very odd, but we get along great when we are together. No, I don't even get 'me' time, he leaves and I keep the kids. I hate it, hate it, I tell ya! lol
