What are the best tested latest laptop today?

I'm planning to buy a laptop next week out of my salary savings and just wondering if anyone can tell me their tested brand or model of laptop and how it costs?

I bought an Acer laptop a few months ago, and I rally like it. It costs about $500.

Hi boddy~ For now I'm using a laptop SAMSUNG,R470,14" screen,500G harddisk,DVDRW,4G RAM,and it cost me less than 12000RMB,it's doing quite well in my hands,fast enought and stable,but the sound sys is kind of weak. If a chinese stuff is available in your place,try ACER,it cost less but working very well.
