Do you find it disgusting that the U.S. is spending more money to prevent human beings from crossing the U.S./Mexico border, than to prevent toxic oil and sludge from going all over the Gulf of Mexico, and possibly the whole World's oceans?

As usual, you have no idea what you're writing about. BP is spending millions in efforts to stop the leak, clean up the oil and compensate the thousands of people in multiple states (including mine) who can't earn a living because of their negligence. This spill was caused by a private company who is responsible for the financial repercussions...not the U.S. government. There is no connection here.

Wrong AGAIN, wiggles! Government resources ARE being used...Naval and Coast Guard equipment and personnel, Air Force planes, etc. My point was that it's not the sole responsibility of the government to foot the bill for this because a private corporation was responsible for it so you can't make an equal comparison with regards to border security spending. Since you're leaving and will have more free time I suggest you spend some of it becoming better informed about the real world.

My point exactly. They are spending 0 dollars to save the the life in the Gulf of Mexico. Therefore, they are spending more money on securing the border, than they are at cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico. It doesn't matter who is at fault, it happened, we should all be pitching in to save our World's waters.

I think your premise is factually flawed my friend ;) Some of the decisions made by the US administration make one scratch their head until you are bald! ... why, when the USA provides aid to every corner of the globe, along with military & soft influences, did we not accept the best aid from our friends and enemies? What agenda(s) of the current administration are a higher priority and more importantly, WHY? Eric

They want the oil leak to continue on, they want devastation, because then people will be at the mercy of them, because they don't have food, money, etc... They want to build borders, not to keep people from coming in, but from keeping people from leaving. They are controlling when and where people can move. We are all enslaved in this system, but we just don't know it..........

Actually the government isn't spending any money on the Golf of Mexico. It is BP that is footing the bill. If the government had been doing it's job in the first place we would have the problem we now have with our boarders.

Beside that problem didn't go away because we now have another one.

BP is the more powerful than the government. Therefore, they control what the government does. What you see on TV and hear in the news is all smoke and mirrors.

I think both issues are very important. Both issues cost us all a lot of money. I am sure there are other ways that they could find to cut costs to work at the oil spill but mainly I think that BP should be paying to clean up the oil spill more than the American Government and people should be. This is BP's mistake they should be the ones to shoulder most of the financial burden on this. I know the government does have to get involved but BP should be the one paying.

Personally yes I do I am an American I love food from the ocean and I love the beaches and the wildlife. Right now I think they should start paying more attention to the oil spill and when it is fixed they can focus on the borders stuff.

Especially since this area is abundant in fish and other wildlife.
