You are supposed to rest or run barefoot. 'Treatment options for plantar fasciitis include rest, massage therapy, stretching, night splints, motion control running shoes, physical therapy, Cold therapy, orthotics, anti-inflammatory medications, injection of corticosteroids and surgery in refractory cases. Studies have also shown, throwing away your running shoes and running barefoot or with a minimalist shoe can help.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantar_fasciitis

Hi If you are in severe pain - Do not run! it is goimg to get worse if you run on your plantar fasciitis disordered feet. If you start running barefoot now it will get much worse. To my humble opinion barefoot running should be started very gradually and carefully and while in good health condition. If you want to exercise try swimming or bicycle ridding or anything that does not envolve presure on your feet. I have found a very informative website in: http://www.plantar-fasciitis-elrofeet.com Take care

Yes you can try it. Planet is really helpful for losing weight as my friend is doing so. And she got very successful result. There is one advantage that it has no side effect. So all the best!
