How do you define happiness in our life? I really look for this answer sometimes and it has become one of my habit to spend time by thinking on this issue. A lovable wife, beautiful kids, high paid job, self owned home and car, good relatives and nice friends, honored and respected by all.... there may be many more issues which all being combined can make you happy. You have any different philosophy on self happiness? Have a great day.

I consider myself a happy person most of the time. I think I'm happy because I have people who love and respect me, in whom I respect and love in return. Also, I am lucky enough to have a job and do the things I love. I'm also happy because I have the ability to go to school and become an elementary teacher. I'm happy because I'm alive.

You have pointed the most important issue of self happiness. Thinking and believing that you are happy is the key factor of happiness. Being alive is no doubt most important factor.

I do not define happiness in material things, but rather in the quest for attaining my goals. Each goal I reach, for example: promotions, finishing paying off a debt (like fulling paying off my car) or anything like that is its own little journey. The bumps surprises and the feeling of accomplishment is where my true happiness comes from. Like I have just recently started a new life journey to attain a new phone- the Blackberry for Boost Mobile, but they are almost $300, so I have to come up with a plan to save that money up without hurting my bills or dipping into my vacation money. And that challenge is what makes me smile, and truly happy.
