About 2 weeks ago we had some exsitement in our neighborhood.
Helicopters flying round nd round cops colore and news trucks! 3 different channels.
The cops all dawned there grear and hid to try to sneak up on the house hd lots of things in the way so they didnt get far.
apparently the woman in the house pulled a gun on the cencus taker.
The lady is really friendly and we have talked to her and been in her house so this didnt sound just right.
The lady also suffering from cancer and has been doing Chemo so she might have been working thru that when the cencus taker tried to push more questions on her than she wanted as she had asked her to leave and she didnt! So lady showed her th gun.
No charges were made.
Now I was interveiwed for like 20 mins but when I got on the news llasted about 5 sec.

Hey Lakota! Wow! That must have been exciting! And maybe a bit
scary? I'm glad that they didn't press charges against the lady
because she probably wasn't feeling well. And besides, if you
ask someone to leave, even a cencus taker then they are supposed
to just go! I wouldn't even let them in to begin with! There
have been all kinds of "fake census takers" who have robbed
people and I believe there was a story where someone was killed.
Glad it wasn't anything serious! Also happy you got your
"5 seconds of fame"! I see cameras on the streets of the cities
where I am alot and I purposely walk the other way!lol

awww no I didnt walk the other way told the new man that she must of had a reson as she has been so sick with the chemo and al and she did ask her to leave dont know why they so pushy If the people didnt send in their paper they cant read English or they dont want to be counted

I don't think that they have the right to be pushy either! And
I think that the census taker definitely was in the wrong! It
was sweet of you to stand up for your sick neighbor! Great job!

Hey! That's not so bad... the furthest I ever got was in the local newspaper. lol. Five seconds is better than nothing and it sounds as though you had quite an exciting time watching the police approach. lol.

People dont need to answer their door but ya never know for sure who it is I keep screen shut I can see them but not sure that they see me planly. No need to fear they need to just fire the census takers they are makeing big buck and what I have read not working al the hours they are gtting paid for and we the tax payers are paying for it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Did you tape it? Five seconds is still five seconds! : ) I remember a guy I went to church with who was running for representative of his district or whatever you call it. One of the news channels went to interview him. He called my dad and told him to watch the news that night. The news came on and they didn't play one second of his interview!
Did the women get some care? I mean did they make her get a mental evaluation?

hEY, 5 SECONDS IS BETTER THAN NOT ANY. sEEMS LIKE THERE HAD BEEN ALOT TROUBLE W/SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE HIRD TO BE THE CENSUS TAKERS. Are u signing autographs? lol

YEs there is trouble with them they ask question that they realy dont need to know all they need is name and I think its birthdate of every one in the house and thats it.
My neighbor asked for mine I sayed ya ok and he said he would ahve to go buy a book just for autograph lololol

You say the lady is friendly, it is the disese that has made her behave like this and she got irritated, it is quite natural..... Any way you were in the new for 5 secs, they interview so many persons, they have to fit a few in the alloted time schdule...
