The strawberries in the attatched photo were freshly picked Friday June 4th from my garden here in Minnesota. I have cleaned them and destemmed them in preparations for my wife to make Strawberry Jam Saturday. Shiould be enough here for a couple jars at least I feel. Have you ever made your won jaM/jelly?

I used to do it quite a lot, and I have stashed some cherries in the freezer so that when I am done with this traveling job I can make some cherry jam. I also may make juice, if we do not eat them all first.

I want to also make rasberry jelly/jam.
Once their ready I'll stash a bunch in freezer bags for that purpose.

My strawberries aren't doing so well this year. And then, when I was doing some gardening today, I saw my darling little Harmony had planted herself right in the middle of them! Laid right down on a couple of the plants. I was not amused.

Bummer.
I tend to trample a few plants as these aren't in rows.
We just plant them and we weed the area once a year is about it.

hi Grandpa Bob oh y es I used to make the best strawberry jelly and jam and took prizes at the county fair too much to the chagrin of the older
ladies there. and I kept doing until I was 18 and moved out to work and be on my own. I loved doing it too as it was both creative and also so good to eat on good homemade bread. y ummy.

That's so great, I love jam. I hope to make my own jam sometime this summer. :)
