I don't have an iPad, and I don't really want one. For 500 bucks, I would rather buy a laptop than this. To me, it seems like a large iPod Touch with more functions. If it was cheaper, I would probably consider it. What about you? What do you think? :)

Exactly, just get a touch screen laptop. Personally, I think they are just over sized ipod touches, and who has a pocket big enough to hold those?

I agree. They seem so inconvenient. How do you carry that thing? And when someone walks by you, you can't just close the lid because there isn't one. I feel like it'd be awkward to use as well. I like my iPod touch, don't get me wrong, but I don't want a over-sized one. Basically, the iPad does the same thing as the iPod touch, except it has word processor and spreadsheets. What a high price tag for just that.

And also, typing on it would just be awkward. I would never be able to type on something with keys that don't push down :-(.

I have seen pictures of them, and not sure I would want one. It is like you said that it just a big ipod touch, and I have one of those, and a laptop, so I don't need the ipad. I think they are way to expensive as well, and not having a way to close it up would be so inconvenient too, and way to hard to carry around. I haven't evenhad any interest whatsoever on even shopping for one, not for the price they are asking for them anyway. I just don't think they are worth the money, so I doubt I will ever consider buying one at any time. Take care, and have a very good day.
