What an unfortunate day for Yuri Foreman, what should be done?

Yuri Foreman was leading the boxing match until he slipped in his corner and twisted his ankle and then minutes after slipped again on his opponent Miguel Cotto's corner that aggravated his injury. It was so unfortunate for him because he was winning the rounds because of his mobility and due to the injury he lost his world title and a chance to fight Manny Pacquiao and has to rest to recover. It was an ugly win but Cotto can take it. In this case, what should be done to prevent this stuffs from happening again? Even if the corner is penalized the damage has been done. What measures should be there to prevent this?

Well most people love to except Pretty Boy himself. All this talks on retirement, additional demands like the purse split and stuffs just shows they (Mayweathers camp) ain't into it.

This Gayweather is just waiting for a time for Pacman to be on the edge of his career meaning if Gayweather see Pacman lost in any fighters he will use those techniques that fighters use to beat him because Pacman is a progressive fighter every game he has knew different talent to show so his opponent never known what to expect of him and this is what Gayweather is all about. Manny's training will be now more complicated because he is already a politician.

A possible rematch should me made but I don't think that the injury of Foreman will be healed instantly. It could take like 6-10 months to recover form that. But Foremn deserves to fight Miguel Cotto again next year.

yes it was indeed a sad day for Foreman, and he was doing so good.... But he should demand a rematch with Cotto, so he can have a chance to get his title back which he only lost due to the injury. But these things happen and there's really nothing we can do about that, just hope that he recovers fully and that he will be given a chance to regain his title from Cotto with a more even match.

As I had said on the previous comment, a rematch would and is marketale if the world title is still with Miguel Cotto if Yuri Foreman fully recovers from his injury. He was indeed doing so well in the early rounds. I hope organizers find a way to prevet water from spilling onto their corners thus preventing this accidents to happen again.

It was a sorry loss for Foreman but there can be another chance for a rematch against Cotto.

I think there would be a rematch that is if the world title belt is still with Cotto if Yuri Foreman is fully healed from his knee injury. I hope he gets well soon and have another time to showcase his talent.
