Love they neighbor...

Neighbor1 plays karaoke when we're about to sleep, around 11pm and the concert goes on till the wee ours of the morning. She could have started at 6pm and end it at 12am but nooo, she wants to start at 11pm and end it at 3am. Neighbor2 starts playing basketball at around 12am, when we're getting kinda sleepy. You can here the dribbling, the shooting, the running... His probably practicing to get an MVP award, but their basketball court is right beside our bedroom. How nice of him... Neighbor3 on trash day, everybody in our neighbor puts their own trash in front of their own gate. Neighbor3 on the other hand puts their trash in front of our gate because their car is parked in front of their gate. Wow, great reason. Why not put their trash on top of their car. Mmmm... Neighbor4 is my favorite, so when the concert is out and the midnight MVP wannabe is also out, Neighbor4 is in. I'm already in dreamland and here he comes at 3am honking his horn and he don't stop at one, the honking goes on and on till their maid goes down and open the gate. Now, at this time the whole neighbor is up... Why can't he just go down and open their gate? Neighbor5 my gross neighbor. They let their dog out and let their dog poop all around the neighborhood. We talked to them but they didn't listen. So me and my other neighbor did something in return. Back at them... hehe... and they have learned their lesson. We have to be considerate and look around us, we don't leave alone and when crisis comes it's also our neighbors who can come and help us. Don't worry I've patched things out with some of my neighbors and that neighbor4, one of this days I'll just surprise him, I'll cross the st. and open the gate for him. ;)

Love how you summed all these "when crisis comes it's also our neighbors who can come and help us." No man is an island. We need our neighbors. This makes it easy to accept all our neighbors. Love they neighbor... You just nailed it!

Hmmm.. what a good neighbor you are, perhaps I should move in to your neighborhood and do something as well ;P.. lol.. Anyways your neighborhood seems to be a lively one only at night, well by looking on the bright side, your neighborhood is safe at night because there are so many volunteers helping in looking out for the whole neighborhood during the wee hours. Some more they even go in shifts *clap hands* So all of you should love one another. Cheers :)

santosmarichris, I just cannot help feeling that you are living in a purposeful neighborhood. The challenges and nuances you have to put up with, can be really daunting. However, I really admire your efforts and rants here. I can see that you are really walking the talk about loving one's neighbors and I'd like to encourage you to continue to do so with an old quote from Mother Theresa who once said: "The success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done. " Take care and have a great adventure with your neighbors.

sometimes we really get pissed on what our neighbors are doing. i do last week had a misunderstanding with one of my neighbors. he has a business where they make slippers. and sometimes the smell of the rugby they use reach up to our house. my wife has asthma and of course i also consider the health of our four year old son. i approached him nicely and he said yes but whenever i am not home he still does that rugby on the front place near our door. we are living in apartment and we share one gate. so when my wife told me that they still do it when i am not around i approached our neighbor but this time i am serious already and told him that if he will not stop that then we need to bring this to the baranggay. i know he does not like that for as far as i know he has no license on his business. so far so good. i dont like to have any fights with neighbors too but you can not just let them do something that can disturb people who lives around them. they need to be considerate as well.

I love the way you wrote this with such humor but I know living under these conditions is not humorous at all. I have lived in a neighborhood where the guy across the street will start to mow the lawn at 11:30pm. Why? I wish I knew. Then another neighbor would decide to have loud fights where everyone can hear what the fight is about in the neighborhood. On top of all this, we had a hall across the street where they would hold parties. Well every weekend there would be parties with loud music and of course so many ending up with fights in the street. Now I live in a neighborhood where you could hear a pin drop which is a blessing to me. I love it. Good luck with your inconsiderate neighbors. I will never understand how people just can't live nicely among each other. I always believe "Treat others as you wish to be treated." If more people lived with this motto the world would be such a better place to live.

Ya neighbour sucks.About the karaoke and noisy basketball playing after midnignt in my country, we can call the police to investigate and ask them to stop especially the karoake. Because they is a local municipal rules that said all noisy activity must stop before 1am in housing estates.Hopely the police can help.Previously i also got a neightbour who hazardously planted tall flower plants on the corner street outside his house,we told his gardener is dangerous and blocking the view of the incoming cars. The gardener said the owner said ignore the us only. One day , accident happen right smack outside their gate, a motorcycle hit head on with another SUV,the secondary school kid die on the spot, the body were lying in front of their gate for half day , while police , onlookers and reporters took pictures. Now they know.

People are sometimes like that. They don't look around them, not minding if they disturbed somebody else. We also have this neighbor that gets drunk every Friday night and would went ravaging outside everyone's houses and would talk loudly --- shout. ~ sigh
