there are reports that there are plans to build a mosque two blocks from Ground zero in New york city. as expected alot of people are opposed to this idea saying that the city still has not healed from the tragedy of 9/11. what do mylotters think of this idea. is it too soon, or should the plan to build the mosque go ahead?

Herro thogojames This is my opinion... I have no problem with building a Mosque near ground zero...because...Muslims who truly believe in Mohammad are no danger to us. Muslim is a peaceful belief system, not a war system.

Building a mosque near ground zero is not so politically correct. It rubs alot of the people of America the wrong way. To have a muslim group build a mosque after it was Muslims who attacked the world trade center seems wrong but this is the beauty of our country and our weakness. President Obama says he believes we can have a strong defense and still keep our constitutional principles. I believe this is true and what makes our country the best in the world. In this new technological age we should be able to do both.
