When Your Computer Craps Out, How Do You Access The Internet?

Recently my laptop literally fell apart, when the hinges went. Fortunately a few days later, the iPod Touch I'd ordered, arrived, so I had a device on which I could do most of what I already did on line. For he rest, I use my husband's computer. I am using it right now, and it's pretty strange to be typing at a keyboard again. LOL I type about 100 WPM and I am up to about 20 WPM using my index finger on the ipod keyboard. It's a little slow going for someone used to a keyboard, but I'm getting better and better at it every day. So, when you can't access the internet from a computer, how do you do it?

I usually have to go without, sometimes my wife will allow me to use hers and that is very much appreciated as I go insane without my daily browsing. It's not something that happens often as we both have a laptop each and then we have a family personal computer that is currently out of order. (electrical surge) It's not a very nice thing to experience, poor thing wasn't that old either but it will teach me not to take cover out on it. Now I'm saving up to have it repaired, well that will be after Christmas.

I too have alternatives, as such my boyfriends computer, my net-book and or my 3G Blackberry phone. However, if my computer, bless it's soul, don't want to jinks it, crap out. I would rant and rave and have a fit. When you have the ease and are use to one certain computer the rest just do not measure up. Hope you get a better resolution also. Because I know how frustrating it can be.

Earlier, when I did not buy laptop for my daughter, I used to go to browsing centre for accessing the internet. But now my daughter's laptop is there. So I do not go out to browsing centres anymore.

Normally when my laptop (that uses highspeed) craps out, I use my PC which goes by dial up. But something is wrong with that too. So if something happened to my laptop, then I 'd have to go to the library and use their computers. You only get one hours worth of time since so many people are using it. (Some people who work at the amusement park (a lot of foreigners and others who might not have computers yet) go to the library and use the computer.

I tend to just not access the internet if one of my systems is down. I have a desktop and a laptop...as well if i really need to i can go to my moms and use one of their computers. Getting anything other than a computer to access through dilaup is rather a pain in the butt.

On the few times that the Computer does go out and I must access the Internet for various reasons, that's a real reason to panic. Most of my neighbors have Internet that is far below my standards and there is just something that is weird about using a computer at someone else's house. Still there are a couple of easy solutions that I think work best. For one, I just don't use the Internet. I wait for the problem on my computer to be fixed. If there is nothing pressing that I need to do, I can wait a few days. Granted, its a long few days, but still, you cannot be picky. Or the library has computers that you can access. Since that's within walking distance from my house, I access the Internet from their computers. After all, that's what's its up there for. For people who either somehow do not have the Internet or have lost their ability to use the Internet.

i know...typing on Ipod keys takes a long time before you get to respond on something-i use it when my PC breaks down,i need to go to a coffee shop when i need to...that's just to take the boredom as well, but using my Ipod isn't that convenient when you want to do multi-tasking,but sure is a great help when all else fails.

When it has happened I end up using the computers at the college I work at. They are free to use in the computer lab. I have gone on my breaks when I needed to use the computers. Luckily my computer programer brother fixes my computer when it is down! Knock on wood!

I use my Playstation3. Its a lot faster than using my cell phone! I don't use it very often, but its handy when my computer gets a virus and restoring it and such!

I can get to certain things from my cell phone, but it's not everything. I'd have to get the puter fixed pretty quickly.

When mine craps out lol I usually just deal with it and try to fix the problem but if it gets too complicated and frustrating then I bug my Sister in law for her laptop lol I used to have 2 computers but gave 1 to my Mom so if anything happens to this computer now I'm doomed for awhile lol I have not tried going to a internet cafe yet or places like those or even the library so maybe when I have no computers to use I will most likely end up at those places lol.
