Disgruntled with comcast...

I have been a patron of comcast for several years now.I am going to be shutting down my cable this week, as the service is really poor. I have called customer cervice so many times now they probably have me flagged. Everytime a tech comes out its always a different story. The techs never know what the previous tech did. Why don't they communicate? I am not the only one in my circle of friends thats fed up. But our hands are tied! I cannot get direct tv. If i could i would in a heartbeat!
Anyone else feel this way?

Yes, we also have problems with Comcast. We use them for cable TV and our internet. They always go off frequently. Sometimes they go off for a good part of the day. One time they were off for 9 hours straight. It seems when there is a big storm they always going out during it. It is VERY annoying and inconvenient! There don't seem to be any good alternatives here either.

Comcast isn't that great. There have been times when the internet will just go out for anything, or we'll randomly lose a block of channels for no reason. And we have on demand and there are times when that part of the service doesn't work at all for hours. I'm now on a local cable network that's the big network in my city and it's actually much better than comcast.

oh i am so jealous! I have no other option then comcast. What i ended up doing is subscribing to netflix and stream movies and TV shows. There also sites where i can watch tv shows on.
The on demand alwyas had problems. I can't tell you how many times i have called and had to reset the cable box, after the reset it on their end. It would freeze, or the sound wouldn't come in. Whats the point!?
I don't watch much tv i have it for my kids mainly. I read local news on the web as well as national. I think i can live my life w/out them:)
