I was born in the 70's, and when I was a teenager I didn't have a computer, an internet connection or a cell phone. I was happy without those things, and if I had to I could live like that way again, but I know that I would miss those things a lot. They have become a big part of my life, and I use my computer and my phone in so many different ways. There are a lot of things that would get more complicated if I didn't have access to the internet. It would be possible to live without it, but it is hard to go back once you have become used to having all those possibilities.

I went to a place where there was no signal (on my phone), and I stayed there for 1 week. There was no computer there either, but I survived it too. All along I thought I'd die in a matter of days without these two things(of course that's an exaggeration), but I actually felt good knowing that life goes on without them. Sometimes it's good to go back to basics, appreciate nature without high tech gadgets. Gadgets make life easier, but living without them doesn't necessarily mean that life is not good.

i can live happily without tv and mobile phone because i still can interact with my friends and family.. but will be very boring i have a life like that. in this century, entertainment is very important since many people get more trouble in their life. so we cant stay away from entertainment like tv and mobile phone

i think its yes because i have many friends that i can talk to. cellphones are only tool for communication not to prioritize this to other things that are most important to you. long time ago, there were no phones, gadgets, and computer and yet we still alive so for me we can survive even though there is no modern electronics

we can still live a fruitful and happy life without gadgets, but to some , they can't live without it...When one is used to it, it will be so attached, its like a wheel to a car....i can survive without it,but sometimes when you are used to things you keep on looking for it...

It is a good question because we all do seem to rely upon these technical gadgets and devices every day. Personally for me, I probably could not live without my mobile phone, because to me it is like a life line... I always take it with me me if I am not at home, especially if I am driving, not that I am one of those people who use their phone whilst driving, cos I don't it is always in my handbag, but in the event of an accident, or break-down etc it is handy to have where I live, because most of the roads are country roads, that leave you with not much for getting help. My computer, well yeah I probably could live without it, although it is my saviour as it relieves me from boredom, it saves me time with paying bills, and it keeps me in contact with those who I can't with a phone! But I do not rely on it as heavily as I do my mobile phone.

Well. some things are important nowadays, most specially when related with our living, i mean our Job,maybe we can just make things balance, learn to used other time to be Happy, not just with technology, but simple things like playing an old game with kids, or feel nature or dive in a river ,or play the guitar and sing the natural way...so on and so forth...i can live without it,but when work comes there is no way we can't neglect using it...

No. I am used on having a mobile phone and computer. Mobile phones is the fastest way my love ones can contact me. It is already a necessity. Same with computer. I have a job because of computers. Without them I don't think I'll be able to find another job. I'm a computer/web programmer.

i think the same way as you, during our age we were so Happy with the technology, we just read books more than the kids today, in fact we buy books a lot, than kids now, because of the hi-tech age ,kids depends and live more with computers than parents, they keep a closed door in their room and just got out when food is served, this is not a good sign, things are being love now, than humans...

I can do it but not in a long time. How? I will make myself busy like doing some scrap booking (not digital scrap booking), in that way I will be happy and not be conscious with the time. But then, I cannot completely take away al thoe gadgets since I am an IT person. :D

For teens yes ,but for the older people i think they can just live without it..Observe older people they just read books ,newspapers, tune to radios, walk in the garden or park, eat healthy foods...that makes them happier..the answer to this question i think depends on age and situations...thanks...

Well I started using mobile from 2008, since then I am attached to it. I have all my friends number in it and we often call and message. I loved writing letters, infact I used to write a letter perday to my friends. After email came into existence, I send only emails now LOL. I can live but will be very unhappy. Have got used to it now.

with the development of technology, people'lives have been improved a lot.i think the hi-tech things such as telephones,computers,mp4...especially that ipod company always give youth even public surprise and the citizens always want to stay close with hi-tech.i am a graduate from senior school,i need computers and phones in my life and study.i must use phones to keep in touch with my family and classmates, also,i have to get more information from internet.i think this age must be filled with hi-tech products,or people will not keep up with the quick life pace.so,water to fish is what phones to me.

As far as I am concerned, I think I can not live so happily whitout my mobile phone or my computer. For nowadays, I may just usually my mobile phone to make a call to my relatives or friends ,who are not around me. Then the computer that I will just surf the Internet to make the life more comfortable .If without them in life, I think my life can be so terrible.

I was without computer and cellphone till my graduation and happy whatever was available but now it seems tough to manage without cellphone or computer. I can manage without computer or laptop but without cell phone it would be too difficult to manage a day. I can try but not sure if it would be a positive result

I wish I could live without my phone or computer but just the other day the electricity in my house went out and I just had nothing to do. I mean, I always wonder if I should read a book or something but the fact that there was no electricity to 'back me up', I felt uneasy about doing other things other than worrying and waiting for it to come back. My life is organized in my smartphone, as it has all my weekly schedule. If I'd lost it I'd be in a real pinch. My career is as a computer engineer and I think I use it as a excuse to be 24/7 at the computer. But in the end I see I don't use it for professional reasons most time of it. Saddens me.
