Brazil is the most successful nation in the World Cup history. Also history states that the World Cup is either won by a nation from the continent it is held on or Brazil!! Given the fact that the African nations do not seem ready to win the Cup just yet, that means Brazil will have history on their side. With inspirational Lucio providing cover and the excellent Julio Cesar in the goal. Moving forward Kaka driving the team with tricks provided by Robinho, Brazil are a force to be reckoned with. They showed what they are capable of in the Confederations Cup final overturning a 2-0 US lead to win the cup 3-2. What do you say about Brazil's chances in this cup? Cheers! Ram

World cup 2010 - World cup 2010 in Afrika
Chance are there.Old brazil style of attacking speed always open to counter attack with thin defence. However with dunga as the coach, they play has change.I think this will surely increase BRazil to win world cup.Surely Brazil is the top contender of the world cup. With other soccer powerhouse not in good shape like argentine and others.left only italy , germany . The game is on.

Green left England Green with embarassment!! That was really catastrophic goal keeping and nothing to do with the swerve on Jabulani ball. I think either James or Hart will start the next match. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram indeed in every world cup that Brazil plays they are the favourites. However if we go by form then Spain cannot be ruled out.The free flowing football that they play is very effective and a treat to watch. It is true that Brazil is indeed a formidable side and under Dunga they are a very difficult side to beat. However, except Kaka,Robinho and Lucio along with Ceaser I don't think that they have players of tremendous talent like the Ronaldo and Ronaldinho's.Still I will go with you and think that Brazil are the favourites. However it won't be too bad if there is an african country that emerges to be the ultimate winners as it will help in spreading the popularity of the game though I think that African countries need some more time to win a World Cup.

Every world cup Brazil usually reveals a new talent to the world. I am looking forward to see who would be unveiled by them in this world cup. BTW, you missed out Maicon who was excellent for Inter this season and would be another rock in Brazil's defence. Cheers! Ram

Yeah you are right that Brazil always produces superstars but this time I think that their coach made it clear that he needs players who can work and that's why he left out Ronaldinho.Maicon is indeed a very good player but i think Dunga will curb his attackinng instinct and use him more in a defensive role to add solidity to the defence. But I agree with you that Maicon is a class act.

Dunga's captaincy also represented one of the most disciplined defensive unit Brazil had ever put out. But I am pretty sure Brazil will manage to find flair even in the midst of all this. Cheers! Ram

ram_cv, Brazil is indeed the hot favorite for this tournament and I must say that I am rather impressed by Dunga's men. However, I think you will notice that Brazil in this campaign is really Samba converted where most of his players are Europe campaigners. It will be interesting if this is the right strategy for this campaign. So, Samba lovers like me may be a little disappointed with this new style of play with a threat that Brazil may not play the way they used to henceforth. Again, who can blame them when it is working for them since qualifying rounds. The way I see it, Brazil is definitely a finals contender.

skysuccess, I have enough faith in Brazil to know that they will manage to discover some more flair players, so I do think the Samba would roll on. Also any team that has Kaka and Robinho in their line ups will have a flair. Cheers! Ram

Hi. Brazil indeed are one amongst the favorites to win the world cup but its very difficult to predict anything now itself. IF they can pull win some major win in the group stages, they will gain momentum and can go ahead and win the Cup provided someone should lead them like how Zidane did for France last time.
