oil in the golf? I was watching the news today and 1,000's of people are sending in ideas. I saw one guy who thought using hay to soak up the oil was a good idea. He was apparently told it would make too much waste.

There was a man on our local news who had a nifty idea of pluging it up with some sort of inflaitable balloon like an angoplasty on the pipe and then seal it off some how. The only thing is how long will it take them to try something submitted to them? There's are a few sassy groups out on FB that have some interesting ideas how to plug it up......

hi there. oh poor guy, his hay idea didn't make the cut. well, on a brighter scale, even if the ideas aren't really useful, some are trying to contribute. ;-) whatever happened to the oil spill problem? has there been action already? i just hope that the professionals will be able to fix the problem.

The current top cap thing or whatever they call were the cut the pipe off and put it on is working more and more each day. One network reported that BP wanted to use that method very early on and the Obama administration wouldn't let them do it.

how is it not possible to stop the oil leak by welding/inserting some rubber damper on the pipe hole? Is it not possible to place a quick dry cement on the hole itself,
