hi there Pinoy MyLotters! there might be only a handful of you who use dishwasher in cleaning plate and other kitchen stuff. most of us wash dishes using our hands and our kitchen sinks. when you run out of dish washing liquid or paste, what do you use to wash your dishes? well, aside from water of course. ;-)

well my mom use laundry detergent bar I really hate it, its too smelly, that's why I always buy dish washing liquid when I have extra money. because every time I check the what is she using to wash the plates I see her using that detergent bar yuck. That is one of the reason why I always wash again the plate I use if I smell it like detergent soap. Its really not good if you eat on the plate that is cleaned by detergent bar because its really make you vomit when you get to smell it with the food you eat.

i can relate. haha. but of course, i do not dare telling her not to do it, because there is no rationalizing with my mom. haha. well, i really don't like anything used for laundry because the soap doesn't wash off entirely. at times, i would see white powder as dried residue on my plate! haha. there was a time when i ate late at night and there was nothing to use to wash my plates, i took a bath soap to wash them. thanks for responding. ;-)

I don't really fret if we run out of dish washing liquid, I usually just ask someone to go and buy at the store nearby. Good thing that we have a lot of those where we live in. If we happen to live in a village or subdivision then it will take a while to be able to buy another pack

I usually would just go to buy a new bottle. I personally really like the new detergent that Gain has came out with for dishes and I try to keep one bottle ahead all the time. I have never used laundry detergent, but I guess I could.

hello! when I run out of dish detergent and it's an emergency, I use liquid laudry detergent. Those dishes are still going to be be sparkling clean and it will sud alot. Liquid detergent makes the dishes clean until I go to the store and buy some more later whenever I get the break. Usually it will be a day or two. everyone runs into hard times in life and we do things. Have a blessed day!

If I don't have time to run to the store and there is a huge sinkful of dishes I've used laundry detergent, either liquid or powder. I don't use too much of it though because you have to rinse the soap off very well because it really sticks to the dishes. That can cause anyone who drinks out of the glasses/cups or gets it in their food to get sick. But as long as you rinse well it's okay, but like everyone says, if you can, run to the store and buy another bottle of dish washing liquid.

I use bar soap instead. Water alone won't clean the dishes. The oils or greases in the dishes won't be removed if we won't use dishwashing cleaner or soap. It is very important to use clean dishes to avoid getting sick.

Hi, goddessjes. Well, I won't wash them if I run out of dish washing liquid. And we will just go to the store to buy some more then. I used to use washing powder but not anymore. I don't want to risk my dishes smelling and tasting like washing powder.

we really do not use liquid dishwashing solution or paste regularly. what we use is a simple detergent bar. but we do not use new detergent bar, only those left from the laundry after wife had finished doing all the washing of clothes in a day.

If I run out of dish washing liquid, I have no other choice but to use laundry soap, this is better in removing greasy stuff in the kitchen utensils than nothing at all, in fact I frequently used laundry soap in cleaning my utensils as I always forget my dish washing liquid when ever I entered the kitchen sink, I usually kept my dish washing liquid in a safe place because I am just staying in a boarding house and if I would not keep it, it will be missing the following day..hahaha

we used to live a life without a dish washing liquid or paste before so its not a big deal if we run out of that as long as we have detergent soap. as long as its a soap and can clean the plates then no problem. what matter is to clean the plates than just leave it in the sink.

We use a laundry detergent bar whenever we had no dish washing liquid.

When I run out of dish soap, I usually just use hot water, and no soap. This might seem a little weird, but it's a habit that I've come into over time, and it seems to get the plates/cups/whatever you're washing, just as clean.
