Did you signup to facebook just to use the chat ?

My motive was not that . I am a quiet new member to facebook and have only 29 friends . All of them are either my close friends or my relatives . The facebook chat is a great option to communicate with all of them .
But I see many people just using the facebook chat and not the other chats like gtalk or yahoo even though they are members of that . Is it a way to avoid being noticed by others ?
And there is another great feature in facebook chat . That is you can choose to whom you want to be seen as Online and to whom you want to be seen as offline .
So what do you feel ?

I signed up to get friends. I do not like the chatting option in facebook, gtalk is better. Even yahoo and gtalk has those facility of changing chats options.

I use Facebook more than any other site . I have just 29 friends in it . It is a all in one portal for connecting with our friends . Facebook is great . It is always better than Twitter .

Same here. Facebook is a nice way to connect with old friends and share photos and thoughts. I rarely use chat but exchange of photos is done most often..

I have a facebook account, but i never use it for chat, i don't like, nor have time for that, well it is only when there is a add friend request i just visit and add..

I signed up in facebook because everybody is using it and most of the people in my place is using it. I didn't want to be called ignorant so I used it. I signed up not knowing all the features, I didn't know that there were games and chat etc... But I am glad I did, because chatting in facebook is much easier.
