I have a good impression of Romania! I know of Transylvania, and there are supposed to be some really pretty and amazing castles there from what I understand. Also, I know of Transylvania's most famous resident: Dracula. I heard a while ago that there is or is going to be a Dracula theme park in Transylvania? I would really like to go there!

The gymnast Mihaela Stanulet is from Sibiu. She was in the 1984 Olympic team, when they became Olympic Champions!

Well, I am a big fan of Romania and Romanians. (Iubesc Romania!) It is mainly because I love the Romanian gymnastics team. Through this interest, I have learnt some of the language and made some friends in your country. I must say I think the Romanian people are some of the kindest, warmest and most generous in the world! I haven't had the money to travel abroad since 1989, so I haven't visited Romania yet, but my husband and I want to, once our kids are older and we have more spare money. I know Romania has some beautiful places to visit, lovely castles, big cities like Bucuresti, seaside resorts, forests and so on. Of course there is the Vlad Tepes legend about Count Dracula and Transylvania! The only bad parts of the country I can think of are the Ceaucescus when they were alive. I also know some areas of the country are poor (but there are poor areas in all countries) and sometimes you have a problem with gypsies. But I think these are very minor compared to the many wonderful things about Romania and its people. Cu drag din Karen in Anglia!
