Many of us here are working on shedding a few pounds.. so why not take a minute to share your updates.. I am at a point where my weight loss is really slow. I've lost maybe 5 pounds in the past month... but I have met my original goal weight. A few months ago I set a new goal weight, for about 10-20 lbs less than I currently am.. not sure if I can pull that off, but we'll see. I'm not really pushing very hard to get there. Most days I'm happy where I am, I've accomplished a lot.. a little over 75 lbs.. that's huge! How is your weight loss coming along?

I have lost about 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Don't worry though, I am sure I will find it again soon.

I think most people lose a few pounds in the warmer weather, then gain a few in the colder months.. that's why I'm dreading next winter!

Well for the last few years I have not needed to do weight loss, I lost loads of weight and it stayed off. However I have noticed that in the past year I have put on half a stone (6lbs) and some inches so I guess I need to consider trying to get it off. So I have decided from Monday I will hit a diet for a while see if I can lose any!

6 pounds is hardly worth torturing yourself over! Anyways, if it's important to you, best of luck losing it.

Congrats! Yeah, when the weight loss slows down it makes it harder and harder to want to continue to stay on the diet. I lost 53 pounds but I have alot of weight loss to go..alot...and yeah the weight loss has slowed down alot, which is discouraging at times, and I then have to get motivated..and my friends help alot there in being my little cheer squad..I should have lost more weight but I am only human and fell off the wagon a few times..stress does that to me..but I struggled back on..and so hopefully I will lose atleast a 100 pounds this year.

It's okay to fall off the wagon now and then. You almost have to. I mean, you can't possibly deprive yourself of junk food for the rest of your life. The important thing is to get back at it, like you have been doing.

Hey kats! Anyone who has been able to accomplish what you have done without using some crazy azz diet program or pills or some other outrageous thing is already there! What you have done is something that very few people can do on their own without using drastic measures and you did it in an incredibly short amount of time using willpower, food management on your own and exercise! I don't know anyone who has ever done that and lost anywhere near the amount of weight you have! So, don't be so damn hard on yourself now! What the hell is another 10-20 pounds? And you know the last few are the hardest! My dear friend, I have never been able to even diet a little and right now I need to lose about 15-20 pounds and I can't do it because I don't know how! I can't follow rules and never could!

Yeah.. I've been there. Before I had my gall bladder removed I was told to lower my fat intake, and the first thing I did was head to McDonald's. When I was told my cholesterol was high.. do you think that changed my eating habits? Nope! Obviously that's why I was as heavy as I was. But 15-20 pounds isn't all that overweight.. unless you're super short. You could try just adding some exercise and see how that goes.

Hello, Katsmeow. I hope you're not despondent about the slow down, because you've done really well. I've slowed down too, but I've lost just over 30lbs since July, so I'm not letting it worry me. We're into the summer here now, so I swim every day and more or less live on salads, as it's too hot for anything else, so I'm sure it will get moving again soon. I'd like to lose about another 10 - 14lbs if I can. Again, well done!

I'm down nearly 40 lbs from where I started last year. I know that isn't really a huge amount of weight to have lost and I'm still not near the goal that I've had in my mind, but I know that I will be able to do it. I still want to join the gym that is up the street from my house, but so far time has not allowed that to happen as I've been busy with the children's activities during the summer. However, we've been at the pool every day because my son and niece have swim lessons and I've been trying to swim at least 200 meters a day while we are there. I would swim far more than that but it's been so long since I've swam laps that I have to work to build my endurance back.

Anything is better than nothing! I'm not so good at swimming myself.. my spin instructor says it's all in the breathing, which I guess is my problem since I'm a smoker. I can get through a horrendous hour long spin class, but can't swim to save my life, lol.

Ahhh. I managed to lose 2 pounds last month, it's really small, and I'm really not happy with my weight loss. I still have 2 more months to lose 5 more pounds and hopefully I can pull it off. I also need to lose 5 inches, that is really questionable on my part.. But I really do hope that in time I can accomplish it.

If you feel that you have consumed more calories than you should have during the week, it happens you know, and then make sure that you work off those extra calories by the end of the week.
