What kind of people tend to get on your nerves?

I find myself to be a person who gets along with most people. With that in mind, there are people who get on my nerves. The people who like to argue every single thing in the world really get on my nerves. Having a different opinion is one thing, but I think there are many people who argue for the sake of arguing and to here themselves speak. Also, those people who constantly interrupt me before I can finish making a point annoy me. So how about you? What types of people annoy you? Looking forward to your responses.

Whining, complaining people. They truly get on my nerves! Especially if they're complaining about something they have some control over but decide not to do anything about it! In my book, you don't have the right to whine and complain about something if you're not trying to do something to change it!

Hi veromar: I think that some people like to complain for attention or maybe they did because they think that the other persons that are around him/ her should give him/ her a solution to his/ her problems. That's not right and that means that they don't assume their own problems and situations. At the same time they should know that their problems will not be solve with their complaints. THanks for your answer. I'm glad you have written a book. Have a nice day. ALVARO

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Some people like to complain to hear themselves complain. Perhaps they are hoping for solutions to be handed to them for free, without dealing with their own problems. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Liars! Plain and simple, I extremely loath a person who is clearly standing in my face and I know plain and simple that every other world dripping from their lips is a lie. I have to immediately dis-associate and distance myself from these types of people a.s.a.p. Then there is the ones that yes, for sake of argument, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk and completely contradict themselves in the process. Ugghh... can recall a few as I type. I have a list of annoyances from people: one other popular one is the one that will call me day in day out, no matter what is going on in my life and like OMG, drama, drama. Like a total soap opera in the making. These are my biggest pet peeves...

Yes people who lie are rather bothersome to say the least. There is really no point in lying. I mean, you're going to get caught eventually. Plus, it does seem like a lot of work to lie, because you have to keep your lies straight, where the truth is something that is much easier to remember. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

You are very welcome. Yes it has to be quite difficult to keep the lies straight. I mean I specifically watch for the recreations of the supposed new story lines. Have a nice day also.

People who have a hot temper always get on my nerves. They can easily be irritated for trivial matters and run into fight with others. I don't understand why they are so angry. Generally, conflicts can be solved more efficiently by communicating. Quarrelling or fighting will only make the situation worse. But hot-tempered people don't think this way as if they can't control their temper. I'm sick of such people and try as hard as I can to avoid getting in touch with them.

Yes, people lose their temper every now and again. Its part of human nature. But don't blow up about every little thing. Its not exactly healthy and it will just frustrate the people around you. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Right now the two types of people who get on my nerves the most are really, really negative people and people who ask for advice and never take it. I didn't realize how much negativity bothered me, and even considered myself a rather negative person, until I spent a lot of time with someone who always saw the bad side of EVERYTHING. It made me realize what a miserable way that must be to live and really made me into a more positive person. Now Negative Nelly's like them just annoy me. People who always ask for advice about the same thing but never listen is a rather new pet peeve too. I get so fed up with people who refuse to help themselves I just can't even be around them - if you aren't interested in actually changing your situation then please stop wasting my time!

Oh, and hypocrites - they actually get on my nerves more than anyone!

Yes, hypocrites tend to bug me a lot as well. They give all of the criticism in the world for the most part too. That is what really annoys me to no end, because you know these people are not going to follow it themselves. Also, people who ask for advice and don't follow it up, really should not bother. I mean, time is being wasted on both ends. Negative people also can be frustrating. They can make people around them take up their charming personality traits by their overwhelming negativity. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

It usually takes a lot before someome can get on my nerves. People who think they know everything and know little are the ones who get there the quickest. Sometimes when people know they are getting on my nerves push a little harder than they need to. This usually escaltes the situation even farther. When I think someone may be the one to get on my nerves, I like to just walk away from them.,

Yes, there are a disturbing number of people who pass themselves off as some kind of expert. The fact is that what these people know are far less than what they think they know. Yet, these individuals can be the first people to make themselves known in a situation. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Generally, I'm the type of person who can listen to someone but sometimes, I get annoyed when that person monopolizes the conversation and not give others a chance to speak. I also easily get pissed off at people doing different things instead of participating during meetings. I hate to be the "police" and tell everyone to listen but I can't help it. One time, I really had to provide a behavioral feedback to a colleague who was doing something else while discussions were ongoing.

Yes, people listening or their lack of listening can be a huge problem. Everyone wants to be heard. However if you be patient, your turn will come. There is no need to speak over everyone else. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Hi mega matt: In general I do my best to control these kind of feelings but I think that people who usually get on my nerves are the ones thaty think they are the center of the world, and they think that they deserve to be treated like a king or queen and react with agressivity if I don't do this. Working in a ciber cafe, I have found some people with this kind of attitude. I try to be kind and everything so I think I control myself in these cases but it's a difficult situation. Thanks for asking us this question. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Yes, indeed, there are quite a few people like that. They can be very frustrating. When they are not the center of attention, they tend to get all offended, like some grave injustice has been done upon them. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

The people that annoy me the most are ones who are ignorant and prejudiced. I hate people who are racist or homophobic. I think it is awful to make judgements about someone because of their sexuality, skin colour, also issues like their gender, age, weight and so on. This really annoys me!

People that tend to get on my nerves are those who are smiling in front of you and then stabbing you when they are behind your back.

Yes, indeed those people are frustrating. I mean, they are honest with absolutely no one. Including themselves as it most likely turns out. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
