Today I am having one of those days were I can not even face those dirty dishes sitting in the sink. I know I have to do them and the washing and clean the floors, but my motivation levels are zilch, maybe I need a day in bed and get over it. Do you lack motivation some days and what do you do to get over it. ?

yes, I am sometimes lazy to do any work, I am lazy sometimes because they felt the job was never finished. Work continues although there's always been done. Nothing gives me motivation to continue the spirit of doing work there.

I always like for my work to be done properly, so when I lack motivation, I will leave the work until I get motivated again.

If the motivation was not immediately come, the jobs left behind more and more piling up, and getting lazy to work.

It happens in cycles to all of us. Get the program EasyBioRhythm to finf out your low and high days. IF we are really serious on the cycles we can at least mentally prepare for the days that we cannot avoid. It does help to alleviate the situation.

This sounds interesting , thanks for that I will have a look. I think my lack of motivation is from stress this week and hopefully next week will be better.

When our ohysical, intellectual, emotional, and intuitive cycles are at a low ebb, any form of pressure or stress can dampen our motivation. Biorjytjm is not about predicting the future as in what will happen to our life. It is about making a projection of what would possibly happen based on present circmstances.

Hi suehan1, these last few days I'm energetic and full of motivation to get all my stuffs done, still consider to be nicely! Might be I have proper sleep during these rather cold and comfortable rainy days. I was out of motivation totally the past two weeks for I was suffered from the severe pain due to the two cankers on my outer upper gum right at the middle part of it. I felt the scary pain even I had a single move or a sip of plain water I felt reluctant to take any food as well for I scared to experience the dreadful ache. I felt better after applying the ointment given by my relative living in the adjacent country. It took me a few days to recover as usual. Take care and happy posting

Yes feeling unwell can cause lack of motivation. How painful do those cankers sound , I hope you are over that now. I think I have had a lot of stress earlier this week taking my daughter to court and now I have just collapsed in a heap an totally lack any motivation to do anything except mylot today . I did do the dishes finally, the rest can wait till I feel like it.

I do....when it's overcast I find I don't have any zip. When the sunshine comes out I have a ton of it. Usually when I have no motivation I am usually overtired. Maybe a day of rest is in order for you!

Yes I am overtired and have had a stressful week, so I think a day in bed would be great.

There are points in our lives that we are getting tired of doing things, in other words we don't have enough motivation. I just recently resigned from work because I feel like an empty soul, I am not happy doing it anymore and I received several complaints. What I did was cooling down a moment, I use my remaining vacation leave and figure out what I love the most. Right now, I am here happily responding to any discussions, have several extra income in the net and at the same time, I've got the chance to work near my family. Having my family near me is my the reason I got motivation.

Having your family near you would be good motivation. I am glad you are happy doing what you are doing now and you made the right choice , if you felt like that at work. What sort of things do you do on the net?. I am happy just mylotting today

Definitely! During the days that I don't feel motivated, I try to figure out why. Sometimes it is that I just need some down time, or "cave time" as my boys like to call it. Many times it is that I am not eating correctly, didn't exercise enough, didn't drink enough water, didn't sleep enough (lack of sleep affects us in more ways than we realize), or it may be that I just need to connect with someone that day. When I am not motivated, I make a list of about 4-5 things that I need to do. Then I do one on the list, and cross it off. It may be as simple as brushing my teeth! But then I have the satisfaction of accomplishing something and actually using the motion to cross it off the list. Then I move on to something else, and cross it off the list. I might just go through the day like that and by the end of the day, I will have tangible evidence of my accomplishments :D

I like the idea of cave time. I think I will have some time out ,as it has been a very stressful week.Oh well the work will always be there to do ,if not today it will get done tomorrow .

I sometimes fall into slumps like these for months! I think I might be a little bipolar and have just yet to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist. Too bad we don't have much of that luxury here in our country. But nonetheless, mood swings are a terrible thing to deal with. I can definitely empathize with you just wanting to lie down for a day or maybe even two sometimes. I really don't have much as far as solutions go, I just try my best to keep my head up and power on through everyday. Just trying to earn as much as I can and keeping busy helps a little. Also, I have found that taking deep breaths a few times when you feel a little down or anxious helps a lot, and also sunlight! A healthy dose of vitamin C and vitamin D will definitely perk you up!

I think that I am just exhausted mentally from my daughters ordeal at court and probably just need to rest to get over it.

Oh my I didn't even know you were supporting your daughter in settling in court. That can definitely get really stressful. I wish you both good luck on this ordeal and maybe you girls can just treat yourselves to a good spa after. You deserve it.
