Now that all teams in Group A and Group B have completed 2 matches each, which two teams do you pick to qualify for the next round. My picks are from group A, Uruguay and Mexico and from Group B, Argentina and South Korea. So what are your picks? Please do not sit on the fence and give exact two picks each from each group :) Cheers! Ram

Uruguay are through if you ask me and I am not sure about the second team, it would appear Mexico but there is always an outside chance South African beat France and Mexico lose and then its all up in the air. This world cup has been full of shocks, Germany looked so solid one day and the next they lose, Spain and Italy are yet to find their footing. Lets hope the host nation can pull through.

I am going to have to go with my dreams of Uruguay and South Africa going through, we saw how the Confederations cup they were almost knocked out and towards the end they played some good football and the home fans deserve to see their side making history in a positive light. Group B I am also going to have to disagree with you. I feel Greece will pull through and qualify along with Argentina. Nigeria is going to give it their all, no team wants to leave the World Cup with losing every game and the Nigerians are fierce and have to do it for Africa. They are not the type to give up and go home saddened. It is sad to see Obi Mikel couldn't be here for them, so many African injuries before the World Cup.

Ah! now we are talking. Good to see that we disagree, now it would be fun to see the outcomes of the matches and compare notes. I do think Nigerians and Koreans are going to have a real go at each other and it could turn out to be an humdinger of a match. Cheers! Ram

Mine is exactly like yours. Uruguay and Mexico is likely to play "safe" and won't push each other. A draw, whatever the score, will have them both through, and bring tears to France. In group B, seeing the play of South Korea against Argentina, I personally think the scoreline is a bit harsh for them, because I think they actually still played well. So I hope they can win the game against Nigeria.

Yeah ram I agree with you that the two teams from Group A will be Mexico and Uruguay while the two teams from Group B will be Argentina and Greece.I differed with you on choosing Greece instead of Korea as I think that the Koreans will find it tough to overpower Nigeria. On the other hand Argentina will field a second string side against Greece as they have already Qualified and so Maradona will definitely try to give rest to his best players which will give Greece the chance to at least manage a draw.

I think Maradona would definitely rest all the players who are on 1 yellow card to avoid suspension, but I still feel that the second rung Argentinian team might be too good for the Greece team. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you in group A with Uruguay and Mexico going through. Both teams need a draw to go through and with them playing each other it looks odds on for a draw. Hopefully France will not qualify as they have been terrible, nearly as bad as England. I am not too sure who the other teams are in group B but i think that its Greece and Nigeria. I am affraid that i have to agree with your choice in this group as well.
