everyone has favourites, favourite movies, actors, books - but what of cartoons from when you were growing up? What decade/s did you grow up in and what cartoons wehre your favs. I liked Hannah Barbarbera - spelling and Dungeons and Dragons - and one I can't remember the name of - the lead character starts out as "real" and becomes a cartoon. What about you?

were those three your favorites? tom and jerry have been around forever! Inspector gadget and ghostbusters I've heard of - but they were around in the nineties - when I was in my twenties. Now I'm forty and watching again with my toddler!

If it makes you feel any better artemis, when "talking" to you on mylot, the vibe you give out is twenty something. That would have been my guess. Although, forty is still young to me.

in dreams I'm always young...and I now understand what others mean about feeling young inside forever - even if - like me, one feels exhausted all the time! I guess I am immature! childish or childlike

I don't remember there being movies when I was a kid, but my kids watched Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Flintstones, Scooby Dooby Do, and the Jetsons (I think that was the right name). I used to watch Thundercats with them. :)

Scooby Doo! Forget the episodes with Scrappy Doo, I hated that stupid thing. But Scooby Doo and his regular buddies were definitely my favorite. That, and Garfield. I loved Garfield. It really made me laugh. I used to watch the Smurfs, but my mom didn't like us to watch that one. I'd try to sneak around and watch it on Saturday mornings, but she was on to me!

I grew in the seventies. There weren't many cartoons around then at our place. We used to see Tom And Jerry and few others only when we went to English movies and these were shown prior to the main show.It was only by the mid eighties that a lot of cartoons were available but we were in our mid twenties by then.

My favorite cartoon was Tom & Jerry , specially when there was also that little mouse (I think it was Jerry´s nephew) and I also liked Tweety. I thought that bird was absolutly evil and loved him for that!

I grew up, waking up at about 6 or 7 in the morning just to rush at the tv so I don't miss a single episode of the Disney Cartoons lol. Tom and Jerry, Donald Duck, and of course the all the time favourite Mickey Mouse hah!
