I happened to meet a 105 yrs old lady yesterday. And she still has good memory, can do household chores, the problem only is she can't hear very well. I was so glad to hear that she reached that age, however i asked myself, will I reach that age too? What about you, do you want to live a 100 years or more?

Hi, The fulfillment of our life doesn't really depend on the quantity, rather than the quality. Each of us have some purpose in our life. During the entire course of our life, we follow that aim. Whenever we reach that aim, we attain the highest level of satisfaction. I think this is the best time to say good bye. I don't care if its 100 or 30. Thanks God bless you

I am not religious. however. My uncle is a deacon at a baptist church. When offering prayer, his most memorable line (to me) is "when i look back i would like to see a well spent life." i would like to live to 100 ONLY if i could look back and be proud of the life i lived and what i left behind.

Nice to hear someone that old and as healthy. Love to reach a hundred years and just as healthy. Maybe a slight hearing loss. That's Ok as long as it's not sight.

HMmm no, i dont wish to live that long for I am not sure as to what my condition by then. Who knows when i reach that age, I am already bedridden and that a burden to my kids and grand child. I simply dont want that to happen. Aside from that, i think the fulfillment of one's existence is not base on how long he/she exist but rather on his/her deeds throughout his/her existence.

I would be too weak to do the things I wanted to do. It would be envious at the world in this age.

I am over half way there and am having enough difficulties. I am not wishing for that many more years. Maybe 10 to 20 years at the place i am at, that would not be too difficult. But when things get worse i would like to go quickly.

it depends on what is God's plan for me. but if it is what i want that we're talking about,i guess i would prefer to experience being a 100year old. though it will be difficult being old, still i will be able to experience it.

A few years back I also met a lady who is more than 100 years old. She runs a home for the aged though she's much older than them and does charity by delivering necessities to the destitutes. Please read about her here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teresa_Hsu_Chih. I wouldn't mind the age I live to as long as I'm healthy and happy, and I want to watch my lifestyle just to be that.

Hi friend, In our place as a blessing it is said that " You may live 100 Years" Desire to live longer remains with us as long as we enjoy our life and are happy with our life. But when the signs of aging starts appearing and sickness starts troubling us in old age, that desire vanishes. Similarly when we become dependent on others and they ignore us we don't feel like living long life. In fact I would like to live only for such a period upto which I am not dependant on others, financially, physically and can manage my daily routine myself without support of others. No of years is not a consideration. Happy mylotting.

Maybe if I am as strong as a 40 years old. But that is impossible so I guess I'd rather die at around 70 years old. For me it's enough that I'd roam the earth that long, and die after to give way for other younger generation.

oh no, no, i would not want to live that long. i would want to live only as long as i am in good health and able to fend for myself. i don't want to be a burden to anyone. what's the use of being alive when you can no longer take care of yourself? when you just lay there and are dependent on others?

No. I do not want to live upto that age. They might be happy that they are still alive and made century. But the pain for living upto that age if you are not in good health, then its very pathetic and painful. who doesn't want to live on this beautiful world. But the think is however we will live, we will like to leave healthy and well.

Those people who usually live up to 100 years or more live from countries or towns with no pollution, no money to buy ready-to-eat(junk) foods, has no hereditary illness. It's not their choice to live that long just like what my great grandmother said. She's 96 and very healthy but can't hear well, can't see well. I don't want to live like that. I'ts too tiring.
