Do you be partial while choosing the best response?

Hi yoursjannat, I'm glad you ask this question (I'll mention my reason later). I choose the Best Response depending on the question being asked - which is most appropriate, and which one do I think best. Yes, I am a little bit partial to my friends in a way that if I think there are more than one responses which deserves a BR, I will give it to my friend. The reason I'm glad you ask this question is because many members give out BR too quickly, and some members give it to their friends just because. This is just my opinion, of course. The response which I think deserves a BR may not be, for the discussion starter. But then, many times I feel that a BR is given to a friend for no other reason other than the fact that they are friends and they responded. MyLot has advised us that a BR should be given after a certain period has elapsed (7 days, I think). That is to give all members a chance to read and respond to a discussion. Not every member log in everyday (like I do). There are members who log in only once a week or may be even less. And it is of my opinion that if a BR is already given, it sort of discourages other members to respond. It's like, 'Well, BR is already chosen, so the question is already answered and this discussion don't need my input' sort of thinking.

i would always choose a the best for best response.. that's the reason why its called the best response right?.. lol i would rate it as the best response if it has been really helpful. but its somehow difficult to choose one..
