Does your partner collect anything?

My husband collects caps and he has lots of them. Tonight we have been discussing where to put them. He wants to put them in the living room or in the bedroom, and I thought that a box in the storage room or a garage sale would be the perfect choice I am just joking, I would never force him to get rid of his collection if he doesn't want to, and I am sure that we can find a solution that we can both accept. Does your partner collect anything? And do you disagree about the size of the collections? Or do you disagree when you discuss where to put the collections?

I could say he collects musical instruments, but he's a musician so it's not the same :-) He actually isn't into clutter so I have a hard time imagining him wanting to collect anything.

my boyfriend has collections. he does a lot. his room was merely like a toy store now. but all his collections has something to do with anime. he got his pile of mangga (Japanese comics) collections. he got a huge collections of transformers, gundam and other toy figurines too. for now, i am not bothered too much coz we're not married yet. at first i don't agree with it too much. but later on, i begin to like his collections too. and besides, i realize it makes him happy. his collections are his joy even before we met. as long as it wouldn't affect our relationship it'll be fine. happy mylotting!

My brother also used to collect toy figurines, he had a lot of them. I think it is great that your boyfriend's collections make him happy, it is nice to have something that are interested in and something that you like.

I felt as the woman of the house I should have the say in how the house is decorated. If it was up to him the walls would have been plastered with skeleton and skull decorations. That creeps me out. So I let him have the computer room to decorate the way he wished. I thought that worked out well because I got the rest of the house to decorate and he just had one room haha. It worked for us. As far as your husbands cap collection maybe you could hang them on pegs on one wall that would look relly cool. Or all around the top of the wall like a border but instead of wallpaper it would be caps.

I not sure that I would have liked skeleton and skull decorations either. In the apartment where we lived before I decorated every room, but when we moved we decorated the house together. I hadn't thought about using the caps like that, but I like the idea

hi there, right now my husband is collecting books. well actually he's not reading them all, he's just buying and buying and said that he will read them if he have enough time. lol! now its also a problem when we are moving to another house coz its the heaviest of all the things we are bringing. he loves his books so much and he said that those were his treasures! its fine with me him collecting those books since some are really needed for his work as well and no disagreement since he's the one cleaning and arranging them neatly.

The thing about the books sounds familiar. I also tend buy books without reading them. I always decide to read them when I get enough time, but some of them have been on my bookshelves for a few years already and I still haven't read them

Yes, he collects Dr Who memorabilia - books, CDs, DVDs, etc. I don't mind at all, because I am a Dr Who fan too. In fact, we met at a Dr Who event in 1997 so it was the series that brought us together and it is great that we share an interest like that!

That must be nice that you both share the same interest and that you even met though that interest. My husband and I like different kinds of music, films and books, but we have other interests in common and we like do many of the same things.
