The end of 2008, my niece Christy, and before that, her sister Megan in July...

I've never been to any wedding but my own. I would think it would be a sad affair--so much hope and optimism yet you know their chances are next to nil of being together in ten or even five years.

The last wedding I went to was 4 years ago. It was one of my closest friends who got married and they had a big party. At first there was the church ceremony and after that we had coffee and wedding cake. In the evening we had dinner at a restaurant. We started at 6 p.m. and there were a lot of food and a lot of songs, speeches and entertainment. We didn't have dessert till after midnight, because there were so many different kinds of entertainment etc. After dinner we had coffee and cake again. It was a great party and it was wonderful to see my friend so happy

I guess the last wedding I attended was my sister's wedding four years ago. On my dad's side our family is huge, so I have been invited to many weddings since then, but have not attended them. It would be pretty hard to do. Plus, it wouldn't be like going down to the local church. Most of them live a couple of hours away, like my sister.

3Snugglebunnies I have not been to a wedding in many years. The
one we went to was a friend of ours who married a hindu girl
and they had the whole wedding in their home. It was interesting
and rather charming. A hindu type wedding. We have lost track of
the couple after all these years.

Hmm.. the last wedding I attended was my own, but it wasn't an actual wedding, we just got married at a courthouse with no witnesses.. long story, we were both mad at our families at the time.
Before that was probably when I was a teenager. I haven't been to many weddings.
Though we have been unofficially invited to a wedding this August.. by unofficially I meant the couple pulled up outside our house one day and told us they'd like us to come. Hubby went to school with the guy, and I've chatted with him once or twice, but other than that I don't know them at all, and hubby doesn't know them well as he lost touch and only reconnected recently because he lives nearby. Hubby doesn't seem too attatched to this guy.. he's an allright guy but slightly annoying.. the type that doesn't seem to ever want to shut up, lol. Not a bad sort of annoying. It's doubtful we'll go to this wedding.

Unfortunately I haven't been on any wedding yet, but I think I will have a chance to do so soon. I have just graduated from high school, so the life routes of my friends and me are starting to split. I am sure that in the upcoming years my friends and ex-schoolmates will start establishing their own families, perhaps I will do that too. So there will be many weddings in few years.

Umm to be honest its been quite a while i've attended any sort of wedding.Actually from part two year i was quite busy with my studies. So i kind of got cut off from all that wedding and stuff.I didn't had that much time to attend marriage parties and all.Last time i did so was like 3 years ago.It was marriage of one of my brother's friend and i enjoyed it a lot.Though at times,in india marriages tend to get boring but at the same time they have their own charm. It feels good to be dressed in new clothes. You get to meet new chicks. Its all so attracting. But then there comes relatives with their stupid comments and their almost impossible to understand surprise over how we got so big and grown up.All that emotional stuff is quite retarded. But now as it is quite a time since i attended any marriage,so i'd love to attend one in the near future.Infact i've got like 3 invitations this week.

I think the last time I attended one was about a year ago. It was my cousin's wedding, and it was great. I was able to meet a lot of people and had a reunion with a couple of friends and relatives that I have not seen for a long time.
I was just wondering, how come the person really let you down?

A very long time ago.. wait, I went to my son's wedding four years ago. I hate going to formal affairs and if it hadn't been my son, I wouldn't have gone. I just got an invitation to one of my niece's weddings, but I'm not going. It's going to be several miles from here so that's a good enough excuse.

The last time I've attended a wedding was last year and thank you for reminding me because today is their first wedding anniversary. It was my sister's wedding, I remember walking at the aisle with her because I am her maid of honor. Anyways, why having the second thought? they say it's a blessing when you are invited to a wedding.
